Person

In the situation narrated, the person constituent with the nursing

metaparadigm was my sister who needed the care of our mother, while I am
assisting my mom by doing what she say for my sister to feel better.

The person constituent of the paradigm discusses the individuals that require
care; in this case, the individual who makes up the person in the
metaparadigm is my sister, whom contracted cough, colds and fever.
However, the person constituent with the metaparadigm also includes the
patients' close family to whom we confided and asked for our daily necessities
in order to survive this health issue.
Environment

The notion of the environment focuses on the physical

space and context that patients are exposed to, as well
as how those circumstances may affect their health
and wellbeing.

Upon realizing that whenever my sister would spend so much time playing
and her sweat would dry up to her clothes my mother decided to only set
her time to play and when to stop to avoid her to have dry cough again that
would also trigger colds and worst her fever. We also isolated ourselves just
so we wouldn't catch the cough and colds and cleaned thoroughly our
house just so we wouldn't catch the illness that might have spread to us if
we didn't isolate and cleaned our house.
Health

The idea of health acknowledges the many aspects of a person's

or patient's wellbeing, including physical, emotional, intellectual,
spiritual, and social elements that contribute to or help achieve
the best possible health results.

During that time, my aunt who is a nurse helped us

manage by sisters health and provide emotional, and
spiritual help to my mom who really struggled that time.
Nursing

Human caring as the moral ideal of nursing is the central

focus of professional practice. It involves concern and
empathy, and a commitment to the client’s lived experience of
human health and the relationships among wellness, illness,
and disease.
By the care of my mother and the presence of a registered
nurse who administered us the medicine, on how to do the
tepid sponge bath to lower my sisters temperature and by
monitoring her situation in times of need made me think that
nursing health is really needed in this constituent with the
paradigm essential in our daily lives.
Reflection

“It is not how much we do – it is

how much love we put into the
doing.” — Mother Teresa

As a college freshman, I am really overwhelmed by the works and

lessons I am currently studying with. I realized that you really need to
choose the college course you wanted to pursue years from now or
what your heart and mind wants because it requires a lot of love and
patience in doing the the profession we are taking, that it is not just
what we do or study but the amount of love and dedication we put to
pursue what we really wanted.
