Nauryz is one of the important holidays that demonstrates Kazakh traditions because of several reasons.

First of all, it considers as a Kazakh new year when day and night last an equal amount of time. This
phenomenon illustrates the rebirth of nature, the coming of spring and Kazakh people believe that after
Nauryz all the troubles retreat and will give a hope after severe winter.

Second, during Nauryz relatives from all around the country gather in one place to share news and pay a
visit to each other as a respect by reason of harsh winters the majority of people do not prefer to travel.
Of course, this is changed by time and obviously before COVID-19 we used to have a large event in the
central square of city.

Lastly, Nauryz includes a lot of Kazakh traditions such us making Nauryz kozhe which is the traditional
soup, erecting yurts and via this treats they forgive insults. It helps to not to forget origins and bring it from
generation to generation. In conclusion, Nauryz is a unique holyday which includes not only eating and
gathering, but also making better relationship between people.
