Dear friend and supporter,

I’m so humbled to be able to do what I love and support those who need help. That’s why I write
stories and music. That’s why I sing. It’s healing not just for me, but to the students who have been able
to bene t from my album release parties and live concerts over the past few years. This year is no
di erent. I can’t wait to embark on this journey again for 2022 and I hope you’ll join me.

e ort, THANK YOU. Let me explain. I’m a news
anchor and reporter for WDIV Local 4 News but
I’m also a singer/songwriter. With each album I’ve
released since 2018, I have celebrated with an
album release party and concert fundraiser. I
raise money that goes to support Cass Tech High
School students via the non-pro t The Triangle
Society. Just last year alone, with your help, we
raised $31,000. That is something I don’t take for
granted. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

This year my goal is bigger and better.

I’m proud to announce “The Evrod Cassimy
Writing Scholarship” in addition to a donation to The Triangle Society and Cass Tech. This
scholarship will go to any deserving Cass Tech graduate looking to pursue a career in writing, like
a songwriter or journalist. This is a scholarship that will continue in perpetuity.

Your 100% tax deductible donation will also be used to help students in Cass Tech High
School’s ne arts department. With the money raised last year, The Triangle Society’s CEOs, Terri Berry
and Monique Bryant, along with Principal Lisa Phillips and I, surprised the band department with new
instruments. The Triangle Society has also used the money to buy brand new performance attire for the
school’s Chorale and Harp and Vocal Ensembles.

I’m currently in the studio working on my new project “The Life of James” and I can say it is
some of my best work to date. I’m so ready to share this music with you. I will be releasing it this fall and
am excited to celebrate with a fun release party and live concert fundraiser as in years past.

Education is so important to me. My father is a retired principal. My mother is a retired teacher.

They’ve always instilled the importance of education in me. It’s my duty to give back. I hope you’ll
consider supporting me in this year’s venture.
