means to conduct this on the current situation. This paved the way to distinguish the primary movers,
the dynamics and the recurrence in executing the youth camp in the online.

SPEAKER’S PROFILE
 An active YFC leader who has experienced leading camp s in the past; someone who personally
experienced great change in his/her life and seeing the purpose of the youth camp as part of
God’s plan for him/her.
 Someone who has a complete knowledge about Youth Camp Online.

THE EXPANDED OUTLINE

I. INTRODUCTION
Even in time of a global health crisis, Youth Camp remains as the premiere offering and the
primary means of evangelization of CFC-Youth for Christ. It still serves as the entry point for
the youth to be officially part of the community, where we let the participants see what it
means to be Young, Christian, and Happy, and to let them experience a renewal of their
relationship with God, inviting them to be part of CFC-Youth for Christ community. As the
frontrunners and implementors of our ministry’s evangelization, it is very important for us
to have a full and deeper knowledge of what Youth Camp is, and how we will be able to
conduct it in a new normal setup.

II. GOD’S MISSION CONTINUES: THE CREATION OF YOUTH CAMP ONLINE

The realities we have for the past year, even until now, may rob us in doing our usual
routines and has even paralyze us in fulfilling our vision, to be and bring Christ wherever we
are. Now that we are embracing and adapting to the New Normal, we are being challenged
to make our activities more dynamic in front our gadgets/devices’ screen using different
platforms as we uphold our response to the world’s current situation, “The Mission
Continues…” With this, the call to be an Alter Christus extends in the digital space. As a
response in continuing our mission and our contributions in the vision thus, introducing Y-OL
or Youth Camp Online.

III. WHAT WE RETAIN?

A. Goals
· Introduce Jesus into their lives - we simply point to Jesus and His truth.
· Encourage the participants to invite Jesus into their lives.
· Invite the participants into the support environment of YFC as active members.

1
Y-OL 101
Session 2 of the Youth Camp Online Training
· Introduce the life of fun, freedom, friendship, and faith that they will have in this
community.
· Establish a lasting and true friendship with them.
B. Elements
Even online, youth camp is still designed for us to experience the four elements of
YFC:
 Fun through ice breakers and games.
 Freedom through personal sharing, one on one, or group discussions.
 Friendship through small group discussions, getting to know gimmicks, and act of
service for our participants.
 Faith through sessions, prayer, and worship.
C. Sessions
 God’s Love and His Plans for Us
The session aims to raise the awareness of the participants about the truth that God
loves them. The session also leaves them with the challenge to respond to this love.
 Who is Jesus Christ to Me?
The session re-introduces and highlights that Jesus is alive in our lives. That He is
someone we can know in a personal way and that He is inviting us to have a
personal relationship with Him.
 Repentance, Faith, Healing, and Forgiveness
Helps the participants become aware that sin and hurts in our lives become
obstacles in experiencing God’s love. The session helps the participants to realize
that a personal relationship with Jesus can only happen when we first admit and
become sorry for our sins, repent, and forgive those who have hurt us.
 Receiving God’s Gift: The Power of the Holy Spirit
Introduces the participants the power of the Holy Spirit they once received in their
baptism at birth and strengthen and guide our lives, and clarifies how we can
experience this power personally during our personal encounter with Christ.
 Growing in the Spirit: The Life and Vision of CFC-Youth for Christ
Equips the participants with the knowledge on how they will grow in their
relationship with God. It should be conducted in a prayer meeting format. This
further imparts the YFC culture to the participants showing what an assembly is like.

IV. WHAT ARE THE UPDATES?

To answer the burning question in everyone’s minds, is the Youth Camp Online or Y-OL,
allowed? The answer is yes, due to the current health crisis and given that most of our
attendees are minors. This entry point of the young for them to be an official member of the
community is only allowed during this pandemic thus, expanding our reach to where the young
are present.

The Y-OL will still be done per chapter and therefore, the household heads of the chapter will be
the service team of the Y-OL. It is also necessary that the Couple Coordinator of the chapter
will be present in all the sessions to assist both the participants and the service team.

Specific Updates:
 Participants
Y-OL is open for youth ages 13-21. It must have a minimum of 5 participants and a
maximum of 10 participants per batch and must be geographically close to one
another.
In High School and Campus-Based, participant must be officially enrolled to a particular
school for him/her to join the camp. In case that the participant is not yet enrolled,
he/she must be encouraged to join Y-OL in the chapter of community-based closest or
covers his/her location.
· Duration
Y-OL must be done for 4 days. Not necessarily in a week but must be done within 2-3
weeks. This schedule is set so that there is an ample time for a screen test, to avoid
screen fatigue. But at the same time, the schedule is not too far apart that it would
disrupt the momentum of the camp.
Y-OL session per day must run for 2 hours only.
Talks must be given with a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
· Execution
Y-OL must be conducted online and per chapter for community-based, and per school
for High School and Campus-Based.
Y-OL must be conducted at least within 2 weeks and at most within a month.
Only 2 Y-OL sessions must be done in a week.
· Key People/Service Team
The service team should undergo needed training for them to be equipped as they
conduct the Y-OL. They will also be responsible in coordinating the activity to their
immediate leaders and to the CFC in the area. They are the following: (See description
from the Youth Camp Online Overview)
o Team Leader
o Assistant Team Leader
o Speakers and Sharers
o Facilitators
o Music Ministry and Worship Leaders
o Technical Team
o Couple Coordinators in Charge
· Changes in Session Dynamics
o Talk 4 Dynamics
There will be no (per individual) pray over but instead, the speaker must conduct a
general pray over for all the participants. (Refer to the session dynamics for Talk 4
outline).
There will be no Commitment to Christ Ceremony. It will be conducted during the
Welcome Party once face to face gathering is allowed in the area.
o Talk 5 Dynamics
Before Talk 5, the facilitators with the help of Couple Coordinators must contact the
parents/guardians of the participant and asked them for their message to their

children. During the phone/online conversation with them, the facilitators may tell
them updates about their children
There will be no ‘parent-child’ pray over but instead, the Couple Coordinator must
conduct a general pray over for both the participants and their family.
· Camp Activities
o Discussion Group
It is non-negotiable and can be done by creating breakout rooms. The service team
may also explore other ways to do it.
o Conducting One on ones
This is one of the major roles of the facilitators. It must be done after Talk 3. The
facilitators must find a way to communicate with the participant/s assigned to them.
It is highly recommended to conduct it through video call application such as zoom,
messenger, google meet, etc. The facilitators must encourage the participants to
write a ‘message’ to their parents and get it during one on one.
o Letter-Writing
For Y-OL we will not push through the traditional letter-writing, but we will ask the
participants for their message to their parents and vice-versa in any way possible.
We can be creative in doing this.
 It is highly encouraged for the Couple Coordinators to communicate with the parents as
soon as they receive the Parents’ Consent Form and give the parents/guardians an
overview of what will be happening in the 4-day virtual camp. In this way, the parents
can expect their participation in the activity.
 The Couple Coordinator should also emphasize the importance of their roles in the
success of the camp itself, this includes the messages they would write for their children
who are attending the camp.

V. GUIDE IN CONDUCTING YOUTH CAMP ONLINE

A. Pre-Youth Camp Online
· Youth Camp Training Online
The training must be done one month before the date of youth camp online. All service
team must undergo this training. YFC and YFC Coordinators who fails to attend will not be
allowed to serve in the camp.
· Online HLT
It is highly encouraged for the area to conduct an online HLT in preparation for Y-OL to
prepare or refresh new and old household heads. With this, it is recommended that the
participants from the Y-OL be endorsed to existing household heads. This is to ensure that
the participants will be handled by matured leaders to guide them as they are still not yet
officially part of the ministry, but they still need pastoral guidance. If Online HLT materials
are not yet available and the youth camp has been scheduled already, the leaders and
Couple Coordinators in the area can use the old HLT manual provided that the activity will
be done online, too.
· Teaching on Charismatic Gifts
A separate activity before the scheduled youth camp which can be done online to empower
the service team as they enter the Spiritual Battle during Y-OL. We will be using the Teaching

on Charismatic Gifts outline and the team leader/speaker will explain the activity properly as
cited on the outline. If the local government and the local CFC of the area already allows
face to face gathering, then it could be done face to face given that the attendees will follow
the given safety protocols.
· Confession
The Service Team, with best effort, must do confession as part of their spiritual preparation.
· Prayer and Fasting
Even online, prayer and fasting must be observed as the team prepares for the camp.
· Pray Over of Speakers and Sharers
This is non-negotiable. Before every session begin, the Team Leader must assure that
sharers, speakers, and the team are prayed over.
B. During the Youth Camp Online
· Materials
Y-OL Materials will be given to every area. This contains the following:
o Y-OL Training Overview
o Modified sessions with Dynamics
o Youth Camp Online FAQs
· Prayer Room and Prayer Warriors
o There should be one breakout room that will serve as a room for prayer warriors.
o The assigned prayer warriors must set-up an altar at home while praying the rosary.
· E-Night
There will be no E-Night for Y-OL, but they can still have an online bonding in the duration of
camp. Provided that there is presence of their Facilitators. They can have an online
fellowship, perhaps as Game-night/ day. Fellowship is crucial creating bonds of friendship

VI. CONCLUSION
God gives us plenty of opportunities to evangelize. In Youth for Christ, premiere means of
evangelization is the Youth Camp. It is a gift from God and like any other gift, we try to
understand its proper use, so that He who gave us this gift may be pleased. Despite the reality
we are facing, may we continue to allow to God to strengthen us in continuing the mission He
entrusted to us. Let us maximize on the gift of technology that He gave us.
