Title: What I Learned

Things to do:

1. Write a short reflection on the origin and nature of strategy.

From a business perspective, a more accurate and useful distinction than time for strategy and
tactics is the following: Strategy is how generally to achieve a goal while tactics are how specifically
to achieve a goal. Strategy originated from the necessity of peoples to defeat their enemies. The
historical development of the concept of strategic management was elaborated by Jeffrey Bracker of
Georgia State University who cited that the term strategy was mentioned in the Old Testament and
largely treated as semantic issue. Bracker cited that numerous authors have focused their attention
on the concept of strategy but have failed to comprehensively investigate its historical evolution. He
further cited that the underlying principles of strategy were discussed by Homer, Euripides and many
other writers
