the companies.

2. Identify the companies which are into:

a. Vertical integration
 Netflix's shift from licensing shows and movies from major studios to producing its own
original content is an example of vertical integration
 Ikea. Ikea is known as a flat-pack retailer that sells mostly wooden furniture, but also
other fixtures and fittings

b. Horizontal integration
 Facebook and Instagram one of the most definitive examples of horizontal integration
was the acquisition of Instagram by Facebook (now Meta) in 2012 for a reported $1
billion.
 Disney began as an animation studio that targeted families and children. However, the
entertainment giant was facing market saturation with its current operations along with
creative stagnation
