Where did the First Cry of Rebellion happened?
Cry of Balintawak
Good day to everyone. This argument will discuss where
did the First Cry of Rebellion happened. We truly
believe that it happened in Balintawak because in
Guillermo Masangkay's account he was an eyewitness
in that event and he was a friend of Bonifacio. In his
account he stated that it happened at the house of
Apolinio Samson. After the meeting Bonifacio told
everyone that people wants to revolt against the
spaniards and ask them to destroy their sedulas of they
are really ready to revolt as a sign of separation to
spaniards. They pulled out their cedulas into pieces and
it was the beginning of declaration of separation from
spaniards.
According to Olegario Diaz a Spanish Guardia civil
officer stated that tge Cry happened in Balintawak on
August 25, 1896.
Cry of Pugad Lawin
Good morning everyone. We truly believe that the First
Cry of Rebellion was happened in Pugad lawin. The first
place of the refuge of Andress Bonifacio, Emilio Jacinto,
Procopio Bonifacio, Teodoro Plata, Aguedo Del Rosario
and Pio Valenzuela was in Pugad Lawin, in the house,
the storehouse in yard of Juan Ramos son of Melchora
Aquino where 1,000 members of katipunan meet and
carried out considerable debate and discussion on
August 23, 1896.
In Santiago Alvarez account it presents that the event
happened at Balintawak boundary on August 24, 1986.
