ED2A Activity 1

This is my formulated philosophy of education that will serve as my guide as a future

elementary grade school Teacher.

I believe that every child:

★ is a unique individual wherein they have their own way of natural interest in
learning and capabilities of learning.

I believe that:

★ there is a lasting value in changing times, and this should be taught to every child
through role modeling, value inculcation, and value integration in my lessons.

I believe that my responsibility as a teacher is to facilitate learning for the development

of every child to their best and to their highest by:

★ approaching and handling all children in a fair way

★ cultivate a sense of belongingness that makes every child feel welcome and
comfortable in the classrooms.
★ helping every child to master the basic skills or the fundamental R's such as
reading, writing, arithmetic, and right conduct.
★ teach every child how to learn.
★ employ every child in learning by doing method.
★ encourage every child to unleash their own creativity and self-expression.
★ teach every child to respond favorably to various stimuli in the environment.
★ develop the communication skills of every child.

My teaching philosophy is reflected in my dealings with my students. As a future

teacher, I will have tremendous power that can make a difference in the life of a child. In
my teaching philosophy, it will give me direction on what I should do and be for my
students to be an agent of change. Therefore, I conclude that teaching is my vocation.
Therefore, I will ensure my teaching philosophy will become my compass with the aim
of having my students land in the right direction because they carry my teachings until
they grow old and apply them to themselves, and that is the essence of my life as a
future teacher.
