1. Oral- Referring to speaking.
2. Theory- is a teaching, a system of scientific knowledge that describes and explains a
certain set of phenomena and reduces the natural connections discovered in this field to
a single unifying principle.
3. Knowledge- this is information obtained in a certain way and ordered in some way,
which, with varying degrees of reliability and objectivity, reflects certain properties of
the existing reality in a person's mind.
4. Target- the ultimate desire, aspiration, intention, what someone is trying to achieve,
the idea that a person seeks to implement, for example, education
5. Function- this is the relationship between quantities, that is, the dependence of one
variable on another.
6. Classroom- A classroom is called a physical space where classes are taught.
7. Interaction- Language use to maintain social relationships rather than achieve ends.

8. Interference- The negative effect of a learners first language(s) on the learning of a
target language. Also called first-language interference.
9. Character- the structure of persistent, relatively permanent mental properties that
determine the characteristics of personal relationships and behavior.
10. Science- a specialist in any scientific field who has made a contribution to science.
11. Teaching culture- this is a synthesis of high professionalism and internal properties
of the teacher, knowledge of teaching methods and the presence of cultural creativity.
12. Learning styles- Generally discredited theories concerning how individuals may
have preferred learning styles.
13. Question types- Teachers are able to ask questions in a variety of ways: closed,
open, yes-no and so on.
14. Communication- interaction, communication, communication between living
beings or the transfer of information between cells.
15. SLA- Second Language Acquisition. See also FLA.
16. Element-the elemental is a component of something.
17. Academia- the name of scientific institutions and educational institutions.
18. Methodology- Used loosely, method means methodology but more technically it is
just a part of a methodology. A methodology proper has a fully worked out theory of
language allied to a theory of learning.
19. Pedagogue- is a person who conducts practical work on the upbringing, education
and training of children and youth and has special training in this field
20. Monitoring- A teacher activity of two sorts :Check monitoring to ensure that
learners are on task and doing as instructed. Support monitoring to provide help and
facilitate tasks once they are begun.
