CASE STUDY 1

I. TITLE

Mr. Club Manager

II. POINT OF VIEW

Gabe who has five years managerial experience has been hired as the new

manager in a club called “Blind Pig” in Cleveland, Ohio. It means that Gabe will

be the one who will lead the team and the club in providing customer’s

satisfactions that will benefit them by earning more profit throughout the

operation of the club.

III. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Gabe (I chose to use a name to explain thoughts very well) was hired as the

manager of the bar called “Blind Pig”. Blind Pig is a bar located in Cleveland,

Ohio. Gabe knows that being a manager isn’t easy at all, he knew all the

responsibilities he’ll carry on his shoulder. Gabe must be the one who will guide

and help the bar to have more customers because when customers increase, then

money is also increasing.

IV. CHALLENGES

1. In what way can the manager increase bar profitability?

2. How would you grow and motivate your staff/employee to work really hard?

3. What makes our club different from other clubs?

V. ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS

1. In what way can the manager increase bar profitability?

First thing to do is to undergo staff/employee into mandatory training and

development program. In this way, we can assure that our staff/employee

have equipped knowledge and expertise with regards to the work. The

following are the best ways to increase profitability: Leveraging your

existing customer base, offer interesting happy hour strategies, use

upselling techniques, and keeping your goods price under control.

2. How would you grow and motivate your staff/employee to work really hard?

Proving regular training is a must especially when establishing a business.

Through training, employees can develop and nurture their set of skills

and knowledge in order to perform well at work. Motivating employees

can be done through the following: making workplace a pleasant place to

be, showing respect, honesty, and being a supportive manager to them,

offer employee rewards, share positive feedback at all times, and many

more.

3. What makes our club different from other clubs?

Getting into business means involving your self and your workers into a

competition. A great competition wherein two or more businesses are

trying to come up with an effective business idea in order to step forward

throughout the endless competition and earn as much as large profit.

However, have you ever asked your self “what makes our business differ from

others?”. This question will lead you into new discovery of ideas wherein you’re

going to think ideas, generate formulations, and executing it into actions. You

have to become more creative and innovative to take advantage of those

competitors. That is what makes your business different from others.
