1. WALLET

Yes, actually! I use my purse every day just as I find using it necessary and convenient. To be specific,
I can keep my money, some cards or identification in there. That’s why I need to use a purse.
1.2 Have you ever lost a wallet?
No, I have never lost my purse before. Simply because I’m a careful person, I always pay attention to
my things when going out so that I haven’t lost it.
1.3 Do most of your friends use a wallet?
Well, you know, most of my friends are students so they don’t have much money that’s why it isn’t
crucial for them to have wallets or purses.
1.4 Have you ever sent a wallet to someone as a gift?
Yes, of course! About a few months ago, on my friend birthday, I gave her a special present, which is a
beautiful purse. She felt happy when receiving my gift so that I also was happy.

2. STARS AND THE SKY

2.1 Do you like to look at the sky? Why?
Yes, I find sky-grazing fascinating. Just as this activity helps me de-clutter my mind after a long day at
school and I will feel comfortable after looking. That’s why I love looking at the sky.
2.2 Can you see the moon and stars at night where you live?
Yes, of course. I can see them clearly and easily when being at the balcony of my house because there
aren’t many tall buildings near my house.
2.3 Do you prefer the sky in the morning or the sky in at night?
Well, I would prefer the former view. Simply because the sky in the morning is very peaceful, which
makes me feel comfortable and full of energy to get ready for going to school. That’s why I like the sky
in every morning.
2.4 Which parts of your country are the best places to look at the moon and stars at night?
In my view, the rural areas in my country are suitable to obverse the moon and stars. Just because there
aren’t many tall buildings so it’s is clear and better to sky-grazing.

3. PRIMARY SCHOOL
3.1 What did you like to do the most when you were in the primary school?
Well, I liked playing hide-seek with my friends in the recesses. Just as I could improve my mood after
studying and this activity also helped me have fun memories with my gangs in the primary school.
3.2 How did you go to your primary school?
Actually, my parent would pick me up to primary school by motorbike simply because it’s very
dangerous for a child to go to school alone.
3.3 What did you do in your leisure time when you were in your primary school?
If my memory serves me right, after doing my homework completely, I watched my favorite cartoon
movies to relax. Although I had watched for many times, I didn’t feel bored and up to now, I also
watch it again when I have me time.
 4. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
4.1 How can we protect the environment?
These days, there are many ways to save the Earth. To be specific, firstly, we have to stop using
plastics products by bringing your personal bottle to buy coffee. Secondly, planting more trees is
necessary to cut down carbon dioxide. Lastly, we can restrict the use of personal vehicle.
4.2 Do you think you have done enough to protect the environment?
Well, in my opinion, I don’t think I have done enough. Because, in some situations, I still use plastics
bags or paper cup. Besides, I drive my motorbike every day instead of going to school by bus. I think I
have to do more things to reduce pollution.
4.3 Would you like to work in a company related to environment protection?
Yes, of course! When working in that company, I can raise my high awareness of environment
protection and have many opportunities to do projects about environment. That’s why I want to in a
workplace related to protect environment.
4.4 Is there education about environmental protection in school?
Yes, in my high school, teachers teach us about protecting environment and many information related.
Moreover, there is a club called “Go Green” where students can participate to do many activities about
environmental protection. I find that I learn many things from education about protection in my school.

5. COUNTRY
5.1 Do you know the history of your country well?
Well, to be honest, I just know some general and necessary information about the history of my
country. I think I have to broaden horizons related to the history of Vietnam.
5.2 Which part of your country do you want to live in?
5.3 What makes you feel proud of your country?
There are many things which make me proud of my country. Firstly, Viet Nam is famous about
delicious food and beautiful scenery. Secondly, the locals are generous and accommodating, I mean
that they are willing to help others without asking for any reciprocation. That’s why I take pride in my
country, Viet Nam.
5.4 Will you stay in your country in your future?
Yes, of course, I will. Simply because Viet Nam is my hometown, I think I will work in there to
contribute to develop my country. Moreover, I don’t want to live apart from my parents. These are
reasons why I will stay in Viet Nam in the future.

6. WINDOW VIEW
6.1 What scenery can you see from the window of your home?
Well, you know, I live in HCM city so from the window of my house, I just can see the concrete
jungle.
6.2 Is it important to have a good view from your window?
In my view, having a good view from my window is really significant. Simply because I can de-clutter
my mind after studying a long day at school and I also want to enjoy views from my window. That’s
why I find it important.
6.3 Do you like to sit by the window when you take an airplane?
Yes, of course! I find sitting beside the window when taking a flight fascinating. Just as I’m a person
who likes to see different scenery of nature; therefore, I can see many special views when the plane
takes off. That’s why I always book to seat by the window when having opportunities.
6.4 What sort of view would you like your house to have in the future?

7.1 Do you watch advertisements?
Yes, I always watch different advertisements when I want to watch videos on Youtube, which makes
me feel unpleasant. Moreover, watching it is wasting my time.
7.2 Where can you see advertisements?
Well, nowadays, I can see advertisements everywhere and every time. To be specific, I see ads easily
when watching programs on TVs and youtube or when going on road, I could see the bus advertising.
7.3 Have you ever bought something because of its advertisement?
Yes, of course! A few days ago, I saw an advertisement about the cosmetic that was a beautiful lipstick
and I just wanted to have it immediately so that I bought it. When receiving the product, I was very
delighted at the quality of my lipstick.
7.4 Do you watch advertisements from the beginning to the end?
Yes, but not often. I just watch full advertisements about the content I like. Therefore, when I find the
advertisements boring, I will skip it. That is my routine.

8. BBQ
8.1 Do Vietnamese people like BBQ?
Well, from my own experience, residents in Viet Nam are becoming like BBQ. Just because I see that
BBQ restaurants are so popular nowadays and they often choose eat BBQ at the weekend with their
friends of family.
8.2 What a kind of food do you like to eat for barbecue?
Well, there is a variety of food and vegetables what I like to eat for barbecue. To be specific, I like
different meat such as pork, chicken, beef… and vegetables including bell pepper, onion. Specially,
mushroom is always thing I eat.
8.3 Would you like to have barbecue with your family or your friend?
Actually, I would prefer the former. Simply because eating with family gets me an opportunity to get
together with family members
8.4 Did you have barbecue when you were a child?
If my memory serves me right, my parents didn’t allow me to have barbecue when I was a kid. My
parents said that eating BBQ wasn’t safe and health for children so I just could eat food made by mom
at home.

9. CAR TRIP
9.1 Do you like to travel by car?
Yes, actually! The simply reason is that travelling by car is so easy and convenient, moreover, I can
save time when going on holiday. That’s why I give a priority of travelling by car.
9.2 When do you travel by car?
Well, whenever I have a vacation with my family, we always choose travelling by car. Just as we can
save more time and control our timeline like going to the places we want.
9.3 Where is the farthest place you have travelled to by car?

About a few months ago, on national holiday, after I finished the exam in school
My parents decided to arrive at DL by car to relax and recharge batteries after working long days.
I felt happy about this holiday.

I usually choose siting in front when going by car. Personally, I feel safe when I sit in front, moreover,
I can easily to see the scenery outside the car.
 10. RELAX
10.1 What would you do to relax?
It depends on my mood on day. To be specific, I usually watch some favorite video I like when I feel
bored to save off my boredom. I could also read books when I’m full of energy, which helps me
broaden horizons.
10.2 Do you think doing sport is a good way to relax?
Yes, of course! When doing this activity, I can stave off my boredom and refresh my mind after
studying. Moreover, it also helps me keep body in good shape. That’s a best choice when you want to
relax.
10.3 Do you think vacation is a good time for you to relax?
Personally, I just can go on a holiday when I have me time, I don’t need to study under deadlines so I
actually de-clutter my mind after studying long days. That’s why I think a vacation is a good of time to
relax.
10.4 Do you think students need more relaxing time?
Sure. Because I’m also a student so I know the fact that nowadays, students often have to study long
days and lack time for themselves and family. That’s why students need more time to refresh.

11. SPECIAL COSTUMES

11.1 Do you like to wear special costumes?
Yes, of course! I find it fascinating and I want to try wearing different special costumes when I have an
opportunity.
11.2 Did you try any specials costumes when you were young?
Yes, I tried many specials costumes when I was a kid. At the moment, I can find some pictures taken
when I wore these clothes at home.
11.3 When was your last time wear special costumes?
I remember that about a few months ago, my friend and me decided to take photos to save fun
memories and we chose wearing traditional costume of Korea, called “Hanbok”. I felt very proud of
when I wore it.
11.4 Have you ever bought special costumes?
To be honest, I have never bought any special costumes before. Simply because I think buying special
costumes is wasting my money and I don’t usually wear it on daily life so I just borrow these costumes
from any stores and after wearing, I will give it back.

12. MUSEUMS
12.1 Do you think museums are important?
Yes, of course! Museums are places you can find out many useful information about history and
culture of countries.
12.2 Are there many museums in your hometown?
From what I know, every province would have its own museums to celebrate the local culture and
history. Museums can be found easily in HCM city, my hometown.
12.3 Do you often visit museums?
To be honest, I don’t visit museums on a regular basis. The simply reason is that I’m a student so I
have to study all week so I don’t have enough time to visit museums often.
12.4 When was the last time you visited the museum?
The last time I visited a museum was about a month ago when my teacher gave my class a project
about the local history of HCM city. I went with my gang in class and I could widen my knowledge. It
was quite an enjoyable experience.
 13. WILD ANIMALS
13.1 Do you like watching TV programs about wild animals?
I find watching TV programs fascinating + broaden horizons + stave off my boredom

Yes + learn many new information from the subject Biology/ doing some projects related to wild

Well, there are many places to see wild animals. I often visit the garden zoo in HCM city to see them.

From my knowledge, wild animals usually live in natural habitats. I think that most countries in Africa
are places to see animals easily.

14.1 What kind of flowers do you know?
Not interested in flowers so I just know some general and popular flowers such as rose, sunflower,
violet.
14.2 Are there any flowers that have special meanings in VN?
Yes, for me, roses have special meaning not only in VN but also all over the world. Actually, roses
represent loves because of their beauty and color so that why on the couple’s day, couples often give
roses to each other.
14.3 Have you planted any flowers yourself?
Yes, actually. I remember that when joining in an activity at school, I planted some flowers in
flowerpot to decorate my school. My school became more beautiful and colorful after that activity.

Yes, of course. About a few months ago, on Mothers’ Day, I gave my mother a basket of flowers. She
felt very happy about my present so I was too.

15. TREE
15.1 What kind of trees people in your country usually plant?
From my knowledge, people usually plant fruit-trees just because it’s easy to be planted and taken care
of. Moreover, we can have fruit to eat.
15.2 Have you ever planted a tree?
Yes, of course. About one year ago when I joined in a voluntary campaign related to environment
protection, I planted some trees. It was an interesting activity.

I think I will plant green trees or fruit-trees when having other opportunities. Just because I see that it
will give shades when they grow up.

I really enjoy this activity. The simply reason is that we can save the Earth when planting more trees,

17.3 What is the memorable New year…?
The memorable New Year for me was a few years ago when I went to my grandparent’s house in the
countryside. In there, I met many relatives, other family members and joined in many activities. I felt
very delighted about that.

New year is considered a new start for everyone because it is the time when everything in the previous
year is over. So people have a motivation to start everything they want to do.

18. MATHS
18.1 Do you learn Maths now?
Yes, of course. I have to learn Math 3 times a week and I spend many times doing Math homework
every week.
18.2 Do students learn Maths in secondary schools in VN?
Math is a compulsory subject in VN. + all students have to learn Math from primary school

So difficult + think logically + be careful when solving Math.

19. BEING HAPPY

19.1 Is there anything that makes you feel happy lately?
A few months ago, my mother gave me money + I felt very happy because before that, I had lived on a
tight budget.

Think simply + do my favorite hobbies like reading book, cooking a dish or sleeping

Well to stay cheerful every single moment is difficult. I believe that everyone has their ups and
downs, and there are certain times I find myself sad. But after all, I never stop trying to get
enjoyment out of my everyday life.

I usually watch programs on my mobile phone. Simply because it’s so convenient and I can watch
programs I like whenever I want. Moreover, you can control the speed of the video.

There is a variety of TV programs nowadays but I often watch programs about cooking. I like watching
it just as I find cooking fascinating and I can learn how to a new dish.

No, I don’t really like. For me, it’s so bored and I usually like different programs, which can help me
stave off my boredom after a long day at school.

To be honest, I don’t really like it just because I’m not confident about my voice as well as my ability
and I don’t know any techniques to sing well.

You know that I don’t like singing so I rarely sing. However, when going to karaoke with my friend, I
also sing some songs to chill with them.
22.3 Will you take singing lessons in the future?
No, I won’t. The reason is that I’ve planned other targets in the future and I will be busy so I won’t
spend time in learning how to sing well.
22.4 Did you enjoy singing when you were younger?
Well, I used to enjoy it when I was in primary school. If my memory serves me right, I joined in a
music club to perform for my school.

23. DECORATION
23.1 What’s the decoration like in your home?
Well, the decoration in my house is so simple but it’s so attractive because my house is decorated with
simple things and basic colors by my parents who are big fans of minimalism. I love it just as I feel
comfortable.
23.2 What kind of decoration do you prefer?
I would prefer the simple decoration like my family. For me, when decorating simply, I can easily find
things what I need and my room becomes spacious and brighter.
23.3 Do Vietnamese people like redecorating their homes?
I believe that redecorating costs quite a large amount of money and you know, there are a lot of people
living on a tight budget so that why I don’t think they enjoy the houses unless it is necessary.
23.4 What’s your favorite color when decorating your home?
Well, I like the bright color such as light blue, white, yellow,… and I will use them to decorate my
future house so that my house will be bright and make me feel pleasant when I live in my house.

24. GETTING UP EARLY

24.1 Do you often get up early in the morning?
Yes, I always. It has been my routine for a long time. Getting up early helps me get ready for going to
school in the morning and I will feel full of energy.
24.2 What do you usually do when you get up early?
Well, after waking up, firstly, I will brush my teeth, wash my face and get dressed in some minutes.
After that, I have my breakfast before going to school on time.

No, I don’t like that. From Mon to Fri, I have to wake up early so I need time to recharge my batteries.

25. TAKING A REST

25.1 How often do you take a rest?
After having lunch, I usually spend about 2 hours resting. This is the important time for me to recharge
my batteries after the long morning.
25.2 What do you usually do when you are resting?
I just use my phone to surface, read news or watch programs to de-clutter my mind. After using my
phones, I will sleep.
25.3 Do you take a nap when you are taking your rest?
25.4 How do you feel after taking a nap?
After taking a nap, actually, I will feel full of energy to study in the evening. For me, sleeping is so
necessary and I always enjoy taking a nap.
