Photoshop skills:

Ducky,
Default original photo with no
changes.

(Quick select)

I then used the quick select tool

found here on the toolbar to select
all yellow parts of the duck then
navigated to hue/saturation box
found under image – adjustments –
hue/saturation and lowered the hue
by -65 to create this colour instead
of yellow. If I wanted to undo this or
go back to one specific step, I could
use the history tab found in the
upper right of the screen.

(Hue/saturation menu)
(Duck with changed colour

Next, I wanted to select the whole

duck rather than the yellow areas so
I could copy and paste it I did that by
using the magic wand tool to select
the white area around the duck then
went to the select bar at the top of
the screen and pressed invert to
swap the select to the duck rather
than the white.

(History menu)
I then copied the duck with CTRL + c and
made a new landscape A4 page to put (Magic wand tool)
him on by going to File – New – A4 then
changing the orientation to landscape by
pressing the icon and clicking create to
finish and pasted in the duck with CTRL +
p.
We’re going to use this landscape
page to create our lake for the ducks
so for now were going to make the
duck layer of the page invisible by
poking the eye button next to the
layer

Now that the duck is invisible I used the

brush tool and colour picker to create a (Eye there means layer is (Layer invisible)
blue and green to use as grass and still visible)
water the button pointed at by the
arrow swaps out the current used
colour by the brush
