LITERATURE REVIEW

The researcher made an attempt to collect the information of quality Dell laptops on various parameters
and taking out the customers perception towards it.
Designing the best quality of the laptops highly depends on the consumer participation. The review of
the literature has been presented in a summarized and precise manner.

Consumer Behavior by Bitta and Della: The book has described consumer decision making process ,
buyers black box and importance of consumer behavior studies for markets in order to understand what
satisfies the consumer. Majority of the consumers consider Brand, Price, size, Design and specifications
while buying the laptop out of which specification is most sought following to the price.

Designing Laptop Based On Costumer Preference Using ECQFD and TRIZ Methods (conf, at
Kula Lumpur): Quality characteristics like efficiency of battery, audio performance, memory capacity
etc are some of the key features that influences customer. Based on this study the mojor customer
requirements are operating system, weight, colour, graphics warranty period and they can be converted
to technical requirements like Internal memory, frequency, materials, size of the components and cost.
This study shows that size and the colour are the least preference of the requirements listed.

An influence analysis of product quality, brand image, and price on the decision to buy Toshiba
laptop by Eko Teguh Prasetyo, Sri Purwantini: The study analyzed on the influence of product
quality, brand image, and price towards the decision to buy Toshiba laptop.The results of this study
indicate that variables of product quality, brand image, and price positively influence significantly
towards the decision to buy Toshiba laptop. It is concluded on the basis of above findings that the three
independent variables used can influence the consumer’s decision making to buy as much as 79.5%.
