In the era of the Industrial revolution 4.0, the secretary is considered to have an important

role in dealing and adapting . Because human work will be replaced with machine and

technology.

CHALLENGES:

1. One of the challenges that must also be faced in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the

emergence of a cyber-based industry. In this era, many supercomputers, autonomous

vehicles, 3D printing, etc. will appear. This means that many types of jobs will be lost

and replaced by robotic functions. Like it or not, it demands the secretarial profession

to continue to develop skills that can be useful and capable in the future.

2. With information technology, secretaries are not only required to be "technology

literate" but also to be skilled in operating, maintaining and exploring the potential of

these technologies. The current secretary's challenge does not end there, but the

secretary is required to always be updated and understand the development of

digitalization.
