The Bee Movement Press Release 2022

Education (Stop Woke Act): We want everyone to be properly educated on all topics including diversity, equity, and
inclusion (DEI). We believe that teaching kids about race and gender is crucial in helping them understand and respect
the differences between people.

Economic Issues (Taxes, inequality and inflation): We support a more progressive tax structure to provide more
services and reduce economic inequality by making sure that the wealthiest Americans pay the highest tax rate.

Free Trade: We should have less restrictions on trade with other countries

Abortion (Dobbs case): We believe access to safe abortion is a matter of human right and should be legal in all cases.

Capital Punishment/criminal justice reform: We need legal reformation in our justice system and we acknowlege the
racist and classist nature of the death penatly, so we aim to abolish it.

Gun Control (New York Pistol Decision): We believe in expanding and strengthening background checks for those who
want to purchase a firearm.

Environment vs. Energy (CA Proposition 30): Climate change and energy solutions will be rightfully made a priority
with us in office to save our economy, natural resources, and the health and futures of our children.

Immigration: Immigration is a defining factor of America and its history, so we want to welcome people who want to
enter the country and we believe in making the process easier and more organized for immigrants.

Foreign Policy (Ukraine, China, OPEC): We believe that it is important to help and collaborate with other countries in
order to sustain American prosperity.

Military Spending: The amount of money spent on our military has been much too high in recent years, so we plan on
lowering the defense budget and ending nuclear weapon development.

Health Care: It is one of our priorities to have affordable healthcare accessible for Americans of all races and identities.

Voting Rights: We aim to improve the accessibility for every American citizen to vote.

California Proposition 27 (Allow online sports betting): Prop 27, though claiming to aid homelessness by using part of
the profits made through online sports betting, does not clearly testify what actions would be taken towards the issue of
homelessness.

California Proposition 31 (Uphold Flavored Tobacco Ban): We support Prop 31, the banning of flavored tobacco
because we care for the health of the children of our country. Flavored tobacco and nicotine products perpetuate the
risks of addiction.

LGBTQIA+: We are committed to ending LGBTQIA+ violence and discrimmination and aim to ensure that they are
treated with the proper respect they deserve.

Police Training: We believe that all law enforcement officers should be held accountable for their actions and we plan to
integrate proper education on racial equity in law enforcement training.

Homelessness: Every American needs access to shelter, food, and hygiene, so we plan on spending more money on basic
necessities and programs to help homeless people get back on their feet.
