A bar graph represents the data of different ordinal
and numerical categorical data. It also represents the
relationship and comparison between the two
variables using rectangles or triangles.
A bar graph can represent categorical data. It also
represents the frequency of a certain variable.
Bar graphs show different sets of data that can be
compared to each other. Unlike a line graph, the data
won’t change and it will remain the same.
A Bar graph can Represent different values such as a
certain number of people, things, temperature, weight,
etc. Unlike a line graph, it is not showing the change
of a value over time.

Line graphs A line graphs use is mostly to
show change over continues data showing
over time how the data changes because of
the variables and showing a connection
between the two. For example we could
represent the profit and loss of a company.

that is continuously changing. A line graph
can represent height, age, grades, and even
weather.

shows any progress made. Line graphs also
help you track the information. Example - you
need to track a business, financial changes
