This chapter presents the family structure, characteristic, and dynamic such as the
demographic information of each family members outlining their name, age, sex, civil status,
occupation, position in the family, also description of the family with regard to their socio-
economic status, physical environment, past and present history and family assessment base on
functional health patterns.

The data above shows the name, age, sex, position in the family, civil status, occupation of the
Family Nacario. From the data above it is evidence that family Nacario is an extended type of
family. According to Michelle Blessing this form of a family relationships consists of two or more
individuals are living in the same house hold who are related either by blood or marriage. This
family involves multiple families living together and working on shared objective, such as raising
children and keeping up with house hold abligations.
In the present case study. Mr, Randy that he is currently living in Brgy, Bunaw Tupi South Cotabato
with her 3 child they decide to move there permanently

It requires more than one member choices and judgement for better solutions and agreement in
term of family decision making Mr. Randy and Mrs. Daisy go hand and hand in term of decision
making when it come to managing the finance and house hold duties.

B. Socio-economic and cultural character

Five individual are resident in the Nacario’s. Two adult and three children. Fortunately, the two
adults living at the residents have their own source of income, The father which is Mr. Randy is a
construction worker, he earn almost 3,000 per week, next is the mother which is Mrs, Daisy is a
OFW, he earn almost 20,000 per month.

With the over all income. Has the capacity to leave a comfortable life, the individual income of the
family among the entire family members must provide individuals atleast 3,000 per week and
20,000 per month, if we sum up the total of the family, they get 32,000 pesos As the monthly
income of their family

C. Home and environment

Their house are made by wood, the house have only one room and 1 window, there are only one
bed
The Nacario family have one appliances, including a tv in term of waste disposal the community
have a garbage collector in the morning every Friday, the barangay require’s all household to
segregate ther garbage and should place them in to a sack

The source of the water are water districk, they use to bath and washing the dishes And they also
use it to drink

The family have near to hazard because there are near to rever the area of ther residential is safe
from flooding because the are in the high ground and surround by trees

The nearest health facility are located in the barangay health center there is another health facility,
but it’s beyond the barangay, in terms of food resources there is a market near them, how ever it
also beyond the barangay

Mr, Jayson got diagnosed because of the dengue virus, and also some of there family got some
fever

a. Health perception health management patterns

• Mr, Randy and Mr, Jayson are drinking alcohol and smoking
• If some one got fever in a family member, they give paracetamol or bioflue
• The family has been recognized the important of health being

• The children eat junk foods and drink chocolate
• Rice fish and vegetables constitutes the daily food intake, they only eat meat and fruit some
times
