Antonio Pigafetta wrote "The first Voyage Around the World" which means "Relazione

during the battle. Accounts were first distributed to European monarchs in a handwritten
form. It focuses mainly on the events in the Mariana Islands and the Philippines,
although it included several drawn maps of and terms for other areas, as well the word
primary known use "Pacific Ocean'' (Oceano Pacifico) on the map. Unfortunately, the
original document was not preserved. Antonio Pigafetta then wrote a book, a vivid and
detailed account of the voyage was expressed. However, it’s quite uncertain when he
said the book containing the account of the voyage was first published and what
language had been used in the first edition. The remaining surviving sources of his
voyage were extensively studied by an Italian archivist Andrea da Mosto, who wrote a
critical study of Pigafetta's book in 1898 which in Italian is, “Il primo viaggio intorno

give a glimpse of the political, economic and social situation of Visayas in the 16th
century. He described the appearance, social life, religious beliefs, and cultural

he only wrote a little. Lapu-Lapu is the first hero of the Philippines, who proved the world
that the Philippines is a place only for Filipinos. A 20-meter-tall bronze statue was
erected on Mactan Island to commemorate Lapu-Lapu's victory, and Cebu City Ofon
was renamed Lapu-Lapu City. Every year on April 27, the Cebu City government
organizes an event called Victory in Mactan to commemorate the victory of the Battle of
Mactan, a reenactment of the battle between Magellan's Army and the Lapu-Lapu Tribe.
Regarding Pigapeta, Cebuano historian Emelio Pascual said in his documentary that
the Italian scholar witnessed the famous battle and did not leave the ship to remember
the actual events. Although the exact details of its history are confused, Lapu-Lapu
