Addendum No. 1 to IFB 23-09

TO ALL BIDDERS:

Bidders are hereby informed that Contract Documents for the above-mentioned contract are modified,
corrected, and/or supplemented as follows and the Addendum No. 1 becomes part of the Contract
Documents and consists of item 01 14 00, 3.2.B.

Regarding Specification Section 01 14 00, 3.2.B: The City has become aware that the projected lead
times for some items to be furnished by Owner are likely to be longer than anticipated and could extend
into weather that prevents the installation of safety surfaces and completion of the play areas until the
following spring. Therefore, while work is still expected to occur in two phases (the Lower Lot and Front
Entrance, and the Upper Lot and Outdoor Classroom, as described in 01 14 00 3.2.B.1), the City reserves
the right to switch the proposed order of the two Phases of construction upon discussion of the project
schedule with the selected Contractor, so that the Upper Lot may be the initial area undertaken and
brought to substantial completion before beginning the Lower Lot. Areas such as the sidewalks along
Raymond Avenue, the Outdoor Classroom, and the Front Entrance may be shifted between phases as
negotiated with the Contractor. All other sections of 3.2 and 3.3 remain in effect; the only change is to
the proposed work order of the phases.

As mentioned elsewhere in this document, it is the intention of the City to maintain an open recreation
space for WSNS students at all times. Therefore, the lower schoolyard space and the upper parking lot
cannot be closed at the same time, and the work will need to be scheduled to minimize the duration of
any closures.
