How To Use Slack On IOS/iPhone

This article explains how to install and use slack on IOS/iPhone

Installing slack on IOS/iPhone

     1. Go to app Store and search for slack.

2. Click on get and enter your password or FaceID to install the software. Wait for the download.
3. click open you can see the options go on and sign in if you are invited to slack then accept the invitation.

  
  4. You can see the person who invited you to the team, Team name and other member can also be seen in
This invitation.
5. if you were invited by the link then click to the link it will send confirmation mail then confirm the mail

6. enter the name and password.

 7. Click take me to slack. 

Using slack on IOS/iPhone

1. Once entering into slack on the top home tab you can see workspace name.
-Clicking on workspace name you can see the 3dots.

-Click on 3 dots you can see two tabs invite members and sign out.
  using invite members you can invite peoples by sharing link , adding from contact or by
email.

 By clicking signout you can sign out from workspace.

-below workspace name you can see three tabs add a workspace, preferences and Help
  In add a workspace you can sign into other workspace, can join another workspace or can
create a new workspace.

 Preferences Contains Some settings.

 In Help you will redirect to slack help center. There you can get help in common
troubleshooting topics like notifications, connecting to slack and slack calls.

2 Threads: you can see all the messages that contains replies in threads. When you reply to some message
in thread then you can see that message with its reply in threads.

3. Channel: in th e channel you can see all the channel in the workspace.
  Public(open)Channel: Followed by ‘#’ symbol is open channel. In this channel anyone can
enter. Using ‘#channel name’ you can search the public channel.
 Private Channel: followed by Lock symbol is private channel. you can enter when you will
added by someone into the channel.

4. starred channel: once you are in channel if u think you often use the channel you can star the
channel.
When you are in the info menu of channel you have different options the things to do for channel itself
 Update notification
 Mute channel
 Pinned items
 Leave channel
  5. Direct message: Using Compose button you can direct message to the person. 
If you have to mention someone directly you can choose  ‘@ ‘symbol with their name then they will get
that notification on phone if they have mentioned only
