Regardless of the fact that it’s been only a decade since the creator
economy has started, 30 million individuals around the world contemplate
themselves as creators. It’s not an out-of-the-box idea to monetize the
digital content, although the 2020 pandemic escalated its reach to a whole
new level as people started using these platforms for various reasons,
boredom being top of them. Since then, the market size for creator
economy has immensely elevated from a mere $1.7 billion in 2016 to
roughly $14 billion in 2021. It definitely shows some strong signs of
advancement in the coming future. Aside from that, here are some
predictions that are being postulated that are expected to be seen in 2022
and the coming years:
WFH magic: Due to the pandemic and the whole ‘work from
home’ schedule, the creators have had a lot of creative ideas
which we should be expecting to see in coming future.
Short videos are the top class attention grabber: With the
introduction of instagram reels and then YouTube shorts, the
audience has multiplied in numbers. And it’s a no brainer to
guess the reason – time. This generation and the coming one is
definitely going to be high on energy but low on patience and
these short videos are offering them exactly that.
