SET 1
Eight people namely Amir, Shahrukh, Salman, Karan, Farah, Abhay, Ajay & Akshay are
sitting in two rows facing each other. They like the following movies but not necessarily in
the same order namely, Dus, Fanaa, Devdas, Judwaa, Black, Pink, DevD, and Gulaal.
1) Salman is facing north and does not like Dus.
2) The one who likes Fanaa is sitting adjacent to the one who faces Karan who faces north.
3) Ajay likes Pink and sits to the immediate right of Abhay who does not like Gulaal and
both are facing south 4) Shahrukh and Salman are sitting in the same row and none of them
is sitting at extreme ends.
5) The one who likes Pink is sitting 2 nd to the left of the one who likes DevD.
6) Amir who faces south is sitting opposite the person who likes Black
7) The person who likes Gulaal sits 2 nd to the left of Farah who is sitting at one of the
extreme ends.
8) The person who like Judwaa is sitting to the immediate left of the one who is facing
Salman.

SET 2
Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H were born in the same year but in different months
i.e. March, April, May and June. At least one person was born in a month. If a month having
odd number of days then odd number of people were born in that month and if a month
having even number of days then even number of people were born in that month. No one
was born in that month in which B was born. A and D were born in the same month. G was
not born in the same month in which C was born. F was born in June. C and E were born in
the same month. H and A were not born in the same month. Only one person was born in
the same month in which F was born. A was not born in March. G was not born with F.

SET 3
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J are sitting around a circular table, not necessarily in the same
order. Five of them are facing towards the center and the rest are facing away from the
center. There are only two pairs of two people each who sit together facing the same
direction. C is not the immediate neighbor of A. J is sitting fourth to the right of A and both
of them are facing in opposite directions. E is sitting fourth to the left of I and both of them
are facing towards the center. Neither E nor I is the immediate neighbor of either A or J. F is
the immediate neighbor of B and G. B is not the immediate neighbor of E or A. D is sitting
second to the left of H and both of them are facing away from the center. Both F and G are
facing in the same direction as J.

SET 4
Seven people-S, T, U, V, W, X and Y are staying in a building with four floors with three flats
on each floor, such that the flat to the western side of the building is numbered as 1, the flat
in the middle is numbered as 2 and the flat to the eastern side of the building is numbered
as 3. The lowermost floor is numbered as 1, the floor above is numbered as 2, and so on the
topmost floor is numbered as 4. No flats on the eastern side of the building is vacant.
The adjacent flats of the 1 st flat on the lowermost floor, in which X lives, are vacant. Both V
and S live on the same even numbered floor below T. W, who is an immediate neighbour of
U, lives in a flat immediately above S. The flat in which Y lives is not adjacent to the flat in
which V lives
SET 5
A, B, C, D, E, F, G are seven persons who have their meetings on different days of a
week namely Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday not
necessarily in the same order. Each of them likes different colours namely Blue, Black,
Orange, Yellow, White, Brown, Pink not necessarily in the same order. B likes Orange
colour and has meeting on Monday. F likes Brown colour. One who has meeting on
Wednesday likes Blue colour. D likes Pink colour and doesn't have meeting on Friday. E
has meeting on Thursday and G has meeting on Saturday. C doesn't like yellow colour
and has meeting on Sunday. The one who likes White colour doesn't have meeting on
Saturday or Sunday.

SET 6
World press bureau was giving away awards for journalism. Six people A, B, C, D, E, F
were given different ranks from 1-6 according to the work they performed (1 being the
highest rank). Also, the positions of each of them was different among PUBLISHER,
CHIEF EDITOR( CE), MD, NEWS EDITOR (NE), SUB EDITOR( SE) and REPORTER. The
order of the positions in the organization is as (decreasing from left to right):
PUBLISHER > CHIEF EDITOR( CE) > MD > NEWS EDITOR (NE) > SUB EDITOR (SE) >
REPORTER
Where the Publisher is the highest post and reporter the lowest in the organization.
Further it is known that: The MD was ranked 3, just higher than D. The last rank was
given to the person with second lowest position. Three people were ranked between E
and the publisher where E got a better rank than the latter. A was ranked immediately
lower than the NE but above D.B got an even rank but was not the SE.C got a rank
which was consecutive to both reporter and F.

SET 7
Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting in a straight line facing North but not
necessary in the same order. A is not an immediate neighbour of F. E is sitting to the
right of A. C is sitting second to the right of F and D is sitting fourth to the right of C.
Number of persons sitting between B and D is same as the number of persons sitting
between G and A. G is sitting to the immediate left of B who is not an immediate
neighbour of D.

SET 8
Eight persons live in a three floored building (bottommost floor is the first floor), where
each floor has two flats - flat 1 and 2. Flat 1 is to the west of flat 2, and flats of each
floor are one above the other, such that flat 1 of 1 st floor is exactly below the flat 1 of 2
nd floor. Not more than 2 persons live in the same flat. B and F live on the same floor,
which is odd numbered and in same flat. H lives below A and no one else lives in the flat
in which H lives. C lives towards west of G. E and G live in different numbered flat on
different floors. Three persons live on topmost floor, among whom none is A. F and H
live on different floors. D lives in flat immediately below G's flat. A and B live in different
numbered flats.
SET 9
Six persons B, C, D, E, F and G are sitting around a hexagon table but not necessarily in
the same order. They are sitting at the middle of the sides of the table such that some
of them are facing away from the center of the table while some of them are facing
towards the center of the table.
G sits second to the right of D. B does not sit exactly between E and D. Both G and E
face same direction. C is not an immediate neighbor of D. Only three persons sit
between G and E. C sits second to the left of B. Immediate neighbors of D face opposite
direction. E sits immediate right to C. Number of persons facing away from the center of
the table is more than the number of persons facing towards the center of the table.

SET 10
Fourteen persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing seven people each, in such a
way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row 1- X, Y, M, B, D, F
and G are seated and all of them are facing north. In row 2 – Z, N, O, A, C, E and H are
seated and all of them are facing south. All the given information is not necessarily in
the same order. Each person in a row faces a person of the other row.
At least five persons sit between A and the one who faces F. G sits fourth to the right of
B. C sits third to the right of the one who faces G. The number of persons sits to the left
of D is two more than the number of persons sits to the right of C. One of the immediate
neighbours of Z faces D. X sits third to the left of the one who faces Z. Z does not sit at
any of the extreme ends of the row. O faces the one who sits four places away from X.
M sits second to the left of the one who faces E. The number of persons seated between
N and E is same as in between Y and F.
