With a flowmeter sensor connect it to positive and negative of a source (be careful most
sensors work at 5v only some work at 12v)
Connect it to a osciloscope b. blow or create vacuum to see the signal
Draw the graph
Present a single group report with the data collected
Figure 1

In the following image you can see the materials used in the laboratory and their
respective connection.
Subsequently, a vacuum was generated in the sensor so that the graph generated when
pressure or vacuum is induced can be observed.
And the following graph is obtained on the oscilloscope.

Figure 2

In the figure the air is being induced and the first readings of the signal can be seen.
Figure 3

In the present image, the signal emitted by the sensor when subjected to vacuum is
observed.
Conclusions:
They are used to inform the control unit of the amount of air admitted by the
engine. The MAF sensor reports directly the mass of air admitted by sending a
variable voltage or frequency signal, the value of which is proportional to the
mass of air passing through it.
Sensor performance is affected by airflow properties and conditions.
If the flowmeter mismeasures the air that passes through it, the engine begins to
pollute more, spend more fuel and more expensive breakdowns can also appear,
especially in gasoline turbos, which can end up melting pistons and cylinder
heads due to excess temperatures.
