Alphabetical Order

All the words that begin with A are


put before those that begin with B.
The ones that begin with B are put
before the ones that begin with C.
For example:
dust, pillow, cow, apple
In alphabetical order the new list
is:
apple, cow, dust, pillow
Plurals (es)
Plural means more than one. If the
noun ends with ‘s, ss, o, x, ch and
sh,’ the plural is usually formed by
adding ‘es.’
For example:
potato – potatoes
bus – buses
box – boxes
brush – brushes
glass – glasses
bench – benches
mango – mangoes

Nouns
(Naming words)
A noun is a word that names
something, such as a person, place,
animal and thing.

For example:
Person – boy, girl, children,
teacher, etc.

Place – school, park, hospital,


museum, park, etc.
Animal – lion, tiger, camel, insect, birds,
etc.

Thing – glass, clock, window,


dustbin, etc.
