REASONS FOR THE CHOSEN RULES AND REGULATIONS

The selected rules act as a guide to players to ensure that they do not make fouls and end up losing scores or not playing properly .So the rules
and regulations alert the players not to contact with net and to step over the line and the rules and regulation also prevent injuries.

Volleyball digging is essential for a successful defense. The role of a volleyball digger is to prevent the ball from hitting the floor after being
spiked by the opposing team .To dig, the volleyball player must anticipate the spike and be prepared to quickly dive in any direction. If done
right the volleyball dig can also become the beginning of a successful volleyball attack.

Adapted from (Raxton, 2016: Importance of a Dig in Volleyball.).

with the forearms, open or closed hands or any other part of the body. The elbow points slightly forward .Feet are approximately shoulder width
apart with foot slightly forward .Knees are slightly bent and body is learning slightly forward .Eyes are focused on the ball .The athlete receives
the ball with hands outside the ball .The athletes extends the knees and straighten the arms to follow through in the desired direction. Volley ball

ANALYSIS OF A COACHING SESSION

During a volleyball coaching session the players started by warm up as they were jogging around the court first for 5minutes reason for body
conditioning. They also done the stretching drills karaoke drills, a high knee, high skips to stretch up joints around the body for about 5minutes.
After the warm up exercises six players made a team and the other six made an opponent team where they passed the ball over to each other so
that they can make themselves comfortable with the ball before coaching the session or game situation started. They done the forearm pass a ball
tossed 1meter in practicing of a digging skill and other skills for about 10minutes. The game got started as the coach instructed the teams to be in
their perspective positions as the ball was servered by the server and the game continued as some players were able to perform to skill of digging
as it is the first contact made when the ball is from the opponent team for about 30minutes. After the game situation the coach asked one player
to lead the cool down exercises in order to relax the body arms and shoulder stretches was done ,hamstring stretches to the toes from the top to

EVALUATION OF THE SESSION

STRENGTHS

Most of the athletes were very capable and aware of the rules and regulations of volleyball as they did not face any difficulties in the game,
they knew about the rotation process when the opponent team had accumulated a point. The athletes were able to straighten the forearms
and follow through to the desired direction when the ball was sent from the other team .The athletes were very quick to react to the attacked

ball from the opponent team which made the athletes to quickly dive in any direction to anticipate the attacked ball which made the team to
play well as this gave them confidence in that game. The athletes were very good when receiving and limiting the ball when passing it to their
setter which was simple for the setter to make a killer set to their attacker.

WEAKNESS

The athletes faced difficulties in the stance, not knowing how to make the body flow to perform digging. The athletes was supposed to slightly
bent the knees, feet was approximately shoulder width apart and straighten the arms and follow through when digging but some athletes
were not able to make flow of the body like that which led to the ball to hit in their chest because of the stance. Communication also was not
there between the players they were not alerting each other which made them to make faults in the fields. The athletes also was confused
about the position and some they were not mobile as they stayed in one places not attacking the ball which made the opponents team to
score more points focused on that open space.
