Explicación: el subject (sujeto) es la persona que lleva a cabo una acción, una
vez que se identifica el sujeto de la oración, lo que queda es el predicate
(predicado). El verb es la acción que realiza el sujeto.

Types of sentences

Explicación: hay cuatro tipos principales de oraciones, la primera es la


Declarative (declarativa), este tipo de oración es la que usamos comúnmente,
la oración “normal”. Por ejemplo:

Me gusta el pastel de chocolate.

Mi mamá es bonita.

El Segundo tipo es la Imperative (imperativa), son aquellas que se utilizan para


dar órdenes. Por ejemplo:

¡Pórtate bien!

No te portes mal.
El tercer tipo son las Interrogatives (interrogativas). Son preguntas, el tip para
identificarlas es buscar el question mark (?).

El cuarto tipo son las exclamativas, estas se usan para expresar emociones o
para mencionar cosas importantes. El tip para identificarlas es buscar el
exclamation mark (!).

Identifying Proper and common nouns

Los “common nouns” son aquellos que se escriben en minúscula, por ejemplo:

restaurant, school, boy(restaurante, escuela, niño, etc).

Los “Proper nouns” se escriben con mayúscula, normalmente se utilizan para


nombres.

Chili’s, Instituo Moderno Americano, Mariano, etc.


Singular vs. Plural Nouns

Los sustantivos singulares son los que hablan de una sola cosa, persona, lugar o
animal. Los Plurales hablan de varias personas, lugares, animales o cosas. En la
mayoría de los casos, identificas a los Plural nouns porque terminan en “s”. En
algunos casos, cuando los nouns son plural, cambian. Por ejemplo:

strawberry ->strawberries
