A. Identify the various methods of segmenting market.

1. Geographic segmentation
 Geographic segmentation is a marketing strategy that targets
products or services to people who live or shop in a specific area.
It operates on the premise that people in that area have similar
needs, desires, and cultural considerations.
2. Demographic segmentation
 Demographic segmentation is a market segmentation technique in which
the target market of an organization is segmented based on
demographic variables such as age, gender, education, income, and so
on. It assists organizations in better understanding their
customers' needs so that they can address them more effectively.
3. Psychographic segmentation
 Psychographic segmentation is a research methodology that divides
consumers into groups based on psychological characteristics such as
personality, lifestyle, social status, activities, interests,
opinions, and attitudes.
4. Geo-demographic segmentation
 Geodemographics are consumer segmentation models that are created by
aggregating demographic characteristics within a specific geographic
area. Age, gender, education level, income, and other factors reveal
lifestyle segments that can be used in marketing, retail planning,
and site selection analyses.
5. Benefit segmentation
 Benefit segmentation is the grouping of products based on their
perceived value or benefits to the end user.
6. Behavioral segmentation
 Behavioral segmentation is a type of marketing segmentation in which
people are divided into groups based on a common behavioral pattern.
Users may be in the same stage of their lifecycle, have previously
purchased specific products, or have similar reactions to your
messages.
