CAR. Supplement this by researching additional information about the region’s cuisines.

CAR

• Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province


• Abra’s popular dishes came from Ilocos Region’s Cuisine.
• Most common livestock in Apayao is swine, cattle, carabao, goat and
sheep.
• Benguet’s has a variety of desserts that includes strawberry, vegetables
are also common in here as they have a cold climate.
• The region’s most popular and abundant product are rice and
coffee.
• Dishes here shows connection to the herbs because most of it
are different cook of meat and herbs.
• There are several fish dishes here specially in
Batanes.
• Cagayan and Isabela produce and exports agricultural
products like rice, corn, peanuts, beans and fruits.
• They celebrate different festivals that gives tribute to their
Bountiful harvest of their agricultural economy.
• Most of the dishes or the different provinces shares its native
cuisines with its neighbouring provinces.
• Carabao meat is considered a staple protein in the whole region.
• Home to a diverse selection of local rice cake dishes.
