Opening Psalm: Psalm 24

Sunday School 1
462 (Jesus shall reign) All people that on earth do dwell,
1Buried with Christ! Our glad hearts say sing to the LORD with cheerful voice.
Come see the place where once He lay Him serve with fear, his praise forth tell,
Risen with Him! Allured by love come ye before Him and rejoice!
Henceforth we seek the things above
The LORD, ye know, is God indeed;
2Walking with Him! A life how blest without our aid He did us make;
Strengthened with might, girt round with rest! We are His folk, He doth us feed,
In Him abiding! Living Vine And for His sheep He doth us take.
We too would bear the fruit divine
O enter then his gates with praise,
3For Him enduring! Pain and loss approach with joy His courts unto!
Are but the shadow of His cross Praise, laud, and bless His name always.
By Him victorious! Smile or frown For it is seemly so to do!
We march right onward to a crown
For why? the LORD our God is good,
His mercy is forever sure.
His truth at all times firmly stood
Colossians 2:8-23 and shall from age to age endure.

Scipture Text: James 5:7-12

“Live Looking Up”
Second Hymn
768 (Jesus Thou joy of loving hearts)
Be still, my heart! These anxious cares
To thee are burdens,thorns and snares
They cast dishonour on the Lord
And contradict His gracious word
Final Hymn
Brought safely by His hand thus far 755 (O Worship the King)
Why wilt thou now give place to fear? Begone, unbelief! My Saviour is near
How canst thou want if He provide? And for my relief Will surely appear.
Or lose thy way with such a guide? By prayer let me wrestle And He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel I smile at the storm.
When first, before His mercy-seat
Thou didst to Him thy all commit If dark be my way Since He is my guide,
He gave thee warrant from that hour 'Tis mine to obey, 'Tis His to provide;
To trust His wisdom, love and power Though cisterns be broken And creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken Shall surely prevail.
Did ever trouble yet befall
And he refuse to hear Thy call? His love In time past Forbids me to think
And has He not His promise passed He'll leave me at last In trouble to sink;
That thou shalt overcome at last? Each sweet Ebenezer I have in review
Confirms His good pleasure To help me quite through.
He Who has helped me hitherto
Will help me all my journey through Since all that I meet Shall work for my good,
And give me daily cause to raise The bitter is sweet, The medicine is food;
New Ebenezers to His praise. Though painful at present,'Twill cease before long;
And then, O how pleasant The conqueror's song!
Though rough and thorny be the road
It leads thee home apace to God
Then count thy present trials small
For heaven will make amends for all.
