Sunday School Opening Psalm: Psalm 10

315
Breathe on me, Breath of God Opening Hymn
Fill me with life anew 290
That I may love what Thou dost love Arise, my soul, arise!
And do what Thou wouldst do. Shake off thy guilty fears;
The bleeding Sacrifice
Breathe on me, Breath of God In my behalf appears.
Until my heart is pure Before the throne my Surety stands;
Until my will is one with Thine My name is written on His hands.
To do and to endure
He ever lives above
Breathe on me, Breath of God For me to intercede,
Till I am wholly Thine His all-redeeming love,
Until this earthly part of me His precious blood to plead.
Glows with Thy fire divine His blood atoned for every race,
And sprinkles now the throne of grace.
Breathe on me, Breath of God
So shall I never die The Father hears Him pray,
But live with Thee the perfect life His dear anointed One;
Of Thine eternity He cannot turn away
The presence of His Son.
His Spirit answers to the blood,
And tells me I am born of God.

My God is reconciled,
His pardoning voice I hear;
He owns me for His child,
I can no longer fear.
With confidence I now draw nigh,
And Father, Abba, Father, cry.

Sermon Title: Ignoring God’s will
Second Hymn Final Hymn
675 732
Have Thine own way, Lord, Oh, safe to the Rock that is higher than I,
Have Thine own way; My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly,
Thou art the Potter, So sinful, so weary, Thine, Thine would I be,
I am the clay. Thou blest Rock of Ages, I’m hiding in Thee.
Mould me and make me
After Thy will, Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee,
While I am waiting Thou blest Rock of Ages, I’m hiding in Thee.
Yielded and still.
In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow’s lone hour,
Have Thine own way, Lord, In times when the tempter casts o’er me his power;
Have Thine own way; In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea,
Search me and try me, Thou blest Rock of Ages, I’m hiding in Thee.
Master, today.
Whiter than snow, Lord, How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe,
Wash me just now, I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe,
As in Thy presence How often, when trials like sea-billows roll,
Humbly I bow. Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul.

Have Thine own way Lord,

Have Thine own way;
Wounded and weary,
Help me I pray.
Power all power,
Surely is Thine;
Touch me and heal me,
Saviour divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord,

Have Thine own way;
Hold o'er my being
Absolute sway.
Fill with Thy Spirit
Till all shall see
Christ only, always,
Living in me.
