ACTIVITY: POSTER PRESENTATION OF BEST PRACTICES OR UNIQUE CULTURES IN MANAGING

VENUE: Graduate School Conference Room (Face to Face)
HOST: MAEd Students (enrolled in the course Human Resource Management)

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES:


This culminating activity in the course Human Resource Management primarily aims to
showcase the best practices or unique cultures relevant to managing human resources in
selected schools wherein the students are presently assigned. Such awareness on the best
practice or unique culture of various schools could be a source of information and inspiration to
the students and to the invited attendees being a part of an organization or school and lead an
organization or school in the future. The activity is also a way of benchmarking and discover ways
to further improve the delivery of services in a school as a result of efficiently managing human
resources.
This activity specifically aims to attain the following objectives:
1. Practice collaborative research activity and enhance the research capability of the
students;
2. Provide exposure opportunities to MAEd students in organizing a learning activity in
the field of educational management;
3. Serve as a training ground for the MAEd Students as presenter or learning service
provider, interact with participants, and answer questions in an oral presentation; and
4. Promote the MAEd program to the invited participants and offer a glimpse of one of
the learning activities in the program.
PRESENTATION FORMAT:

V. Manpower Complement (including Organization Structure depicted into a Chart)
VI. The Best Practice or Unique Culture and Its Components
VII. Evaluation, Implications, and Recommendations
VIII. Action Photos
GUIDELINES/REMINDERS:
In order to facilitate the conduct of the activity, the following should be observed:
1. There will be four (4) groups to present for the day. The recommended schedule is as
follows:
Registration – 7:30 am to 8:15 am
Preliminaries – 8:15 am to 8:30 am
Group 1 – 8:30 am to 9:00 am
Question & Answer – 9:00 am to 9:15 am
Group 2 – 9:15 am to 9:45 am
Question & Answer – 9:45 am to 10:00 am
Group 3 – 10:00 am to 10:30 am
Question & Answer –10:30 am to 10:45 am
Group 4 – 10:45 am to 11:15 am
Question & Answer – 11:15 am to 11:30 am
Closing – 11:30 am to 12:00 nn

2. Students are required to attend all the sessions.


If presentation is online, the respective groups are required to invite at least ten (10)
participants whom they believe will benefit from their presentation.

3. The following should be assigned during the Activity:


a. Emcee
b. Facilitators for Q and A – 4 (one from each group)

Also, the following committees are assigned:


Committee on Program, Certificates & Overall Hosting/ Facilitation – Group 1
Committee on Attendance and Documentation – Group 2
Committee on Finance, Foods & Refreshment – Group 3
Committee on Physical Arrangement/ Sound System/ Projector – Group 4
4. Feedback/Evaluation form for the invited participants (suggested to be via google form)
in case online will be prepared by Group 1.
The feedback/evaluation form for the students will be prepared by the Subject Professor
to be submitted in the google classroom (will be posted as a task).

5. Documentation of the said activity shall be submitted (TBA) – a printed copy (hard bind
or ring bind) and a soft copy in a CD. The format is as follows:
