HOPE NARRATIVE – SEPTEMBER 13,2022

On September 13.2022, Set B of 12 STEM Emerald met Mr. Mario


Butlig, our HOPE instructor, for the 1st time. We were told to wear our
PE uniforms and the meeting was held on the grounds of the MAE
Building to do a BMI

BMI is a proxy for a person’s body fat. It is an easy way to screen for
having overweight or obesity. BMI was first developed by a scientist in
1832, then renamed “body mass index” in 1974. Today, BMI is used to
define if a person has overweight and obesity. These are conditions
where someone’s weight is greater than what is deemed to be a normal
or healthy weight.

In our group, which is group 6, Getting our Height was the first thing we
did. Warren and Keanu had an assignment involving documentation
that we obtained. When we received our measurements for height and
weight, they recorded it. and in getting weight Robely to assign their
lastly After completing all of that, our teacher gave us instructions to
determine our BMI (BMI). We must compute or solve it in order to
obtain our BMI. We need to use a formula to solve our BMI. BMI =
kg/m2, where kg is a person's weight in kilograms and m2 is their
height in meters squared, is the formula used to calculate our BMI.
