TOPIC: Benefits of mobile commerce in business.

Thesis Statement:

The benefits of using mobile commerce in business are providing better customer
experience and reducing costs.

Body Paragraphs:

The first benefit of using mobile commerce in business is it can provide better
experience for customer. The use of mobile commerce technology ensures effective
communication between customers and mobile commerce merchants. As the movement
towards one-to - one marketing grows, businesses are gradually using direct marketing to
more effectively target individual customers and establish personal relationships with them.
Leppäniemi and Karjaluoto (2008) states that although direct mail, telephone and press are
the most relevant mediums for direct marketing, developments in ICT introduced a variety of
other media, which can be used to effectively communicate with individual customers.
Mobile media has proven to be an important direct response network in addition to the
Internet and email. Besides, mobile commerce enables ease of online shopping for
customers. Sean (2017) reports that clients of online shopping system shops online using
the portable wireless user interface provided by the social networking interactive shopping
system. It enables them to buy desired things available in the shop without the need to
queue physically for payment purpose (Sean,2017). Thus, customers’ satisfaction is
guaranteed by applying mobile commerce technology in business.

The second benefit is business costs can be reduced by using mobile commerce
technology. The use of mobile commerce drastically reduces marketing campaign cost. This

is because, Tavor (2011) states that compared to other media, advertising via the internet is
the most economical approach. Publicity for a target market can be obtained at a low-priced
and clients with shared passion can be discovered by retailers. Normally, companies that
primarily target the online hub spend insignificant budget on advertising. In addition, by using
mobile commerce in business, merchants can mitigate the number of employees for their
business. Based on a study by Frey and Osborne (as cited in Biagi and Falk, 2013), they
found that ICT revolution has caused nearly 50% of present US labours in jeopardy due to
the capability of machines to do daily works similar as what a human can do. Hence, it is
proven that mobile commerce technology is a cost-effective method for business.
