This assignment has broken into 2 parts, first is the proposal and overview of the task. How it

would be executed, task 2 is about the concepts of Supply chain management utilized in an

organization, organization purchasing portfolio, and supply chain process which is important for

obtaining a sustainable and profitable organization.

 A general overview of the proposed plan - an initial understanding of the

solution to the task2. (4 marks)
Task 2 is how the purchasing portfolio of an organization helped to effectively manage its supply

chain of an organization. The “Karljic purchasing portfolio” is chosen here which is

implemented in various organizations and companies. The “Karljic Purchasing portfolio” was

invented by the Karljic and was firstly implemented by Harvard business reviews. It is the most

significant model and utilized worldwide. It concentrates on its research of customers and uses

the report to benefit suppliers and themselves. This is utilized by coyote logistics which is a UPS

company. As in task 2, we have to explain the purchasing portfolio. In this portfolio, four tools

are utilized which are purchasing classification, marketing, strategic positioning, and action

planning. Each of the tools has its significant importance.

The basic goal of an organization is to collaborate with the supplier as a team and to reduce the

customer's order line and keep the supply chain going. The supply chain with a wide variety of

alternatives at that stage, with the combined efforts of the entire provider, and can work to
 achieve high throughput. Supply chain processes are described which are profitable and

sustainable for an organization. As collaboration plays a major role in the supply chain. In the

last different types of collaborations between two or more two firms or organizations are

described which plays a significant role in making profits as well as sustainable supply chains.

These collaborations help in reducing the risk rate and increase the profit rate.
