Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence is one of the essential components of leadership and an inbuilt
ability of an individual to perceive the emotions and feelings of other people.

It is defined as the capability of individuals to identify their own emotions. To discern

between different feelings and to use the appropriate emotional guide to label each feeling
and emotion in the correct way forms a part of emotional intelligence.

Empathy is an emotion that is somewhat related to emotional intelligence because it

relates to an individual who connects their personal experiences with those of others.
Emotional intelligence is commonly divided into four attributes which include self
attributes in which a person can control his impulsive feelings and behaviour and manage
his emotions in healthy ways.

The second attribute is self-awareness, where the person gets to recognize his emotions
and the thoughts that affect his behaviour.

The third attribute of emotional intelligence is social awareness. The person has empathy
and can understand emotions, needs and concerns of other people. The person who has
empathy can pick up on emotional cues and is able to recognize the power of dynamics in a
group.

The last attribute is the aspect of relationship management. This attribute helps to develop
and maintain good relationships and to communicate early and manage a conflict.
Emotional intelligence has its affects. High emotional intelligence helps to navigate the
social difficulties of the workplace or place of education and helps to motivate others.

Emotional intelligence helps to manage emotions and it helps to connect to people all
around the world.

The skills that make up emotional intelligence can be learned at any time.
Self-awareness is an essential feature of emotional intelligence. It helps an individual to
know their own strengths and use them wisely. In today’s scenario, emotional intelligence
is one of the most significant aspects to reach the goal and succeed in life.

Having emotional intelligence leads to a satisfied and peaceful mind. It also leads to
rationality in behaviour. With this aspect, a person can see the situation under which the
behaviour takes place in the right perspective. With such a perspective, the person can
establish the right relationship.

High emotional intelligence helps to deal with low self-esteem and helps a person to
upgrade his life and have a better living scenario.
2. Soft Skills in Modern World
Soft skills are the interpersonal attributes you need to succeed in the workplace. They are
how you work with and relate to others—in other words, people skills.
Soft skills enable you to fit in at a workplace. They include your personality, attitude,
flexibility, motivation, and manners. Soft skills are so important that they are often the
reason employers decide whether to keep or promote an employee.
Soft skills are different from hard skills, which are directly relevant to the job to which you
are applying. These are often more quantifiable, and easier to learn than soft skills.
Let's talk about some important soft skills.

Communication skills are important in almost every job. You will likely need to
communicate with people on the job, whether they are clients, customers, colleagues,
employers, or someone else. You will also need to be able to speak clearly and politely with
people in person, by phone, and in writing. You will also likely need to be a good listener.
Employers want employees who can not only communicate their own ideas, but who also
listen empathetically to others.

Critical Thinking
No matter what the job, employers want candidates who can analyze situations and make
informed decisions. Whether you are working with data, teaching students, or fixing a
home heating system, you need to be able to understand problems, think critically, and
devise solutions. Skills related to critical thinking include creativity and flexibility.

Leadership
The ability to step up to the plate in a difficult situation and help resolve it is something
employers look for in prospective employees. Other skills related to leadership include the
abilities to resolve problems and conflicts between people, and to make executive
decisions.

Positive Attitude
Employers are always seeking people who will bring a positive attitude to the office. They
want employees who will be friendly to others, eager to work, and generally a pleasure to
be around. Being able to keep things positive is especially important if you’re working in a
fast-paced, high-stress work environment.

Teamwork
Hiring managers look for job candidates who can work well with others. Whether you will
be doing a lot of team projects or simply attending a few departmental meetings, you need
to be able to work effectively with the people around you. You need to be able to work with
others even if you do not always see eye to eye. Some skills related to teamwork include the
ability to negotiate with others, and to recognize and appreciate diversity in a team.
Another related skill is the ability to accept and apply feedback from others.

Work Ethic
Employers look for job candidates with a strong work ethic. Such people come to work on
time, complete tasks in a timely manner, and stay both focused and organized.
All this skills make any candidate ideal in the modern job search environment.
3. Gen Z
Generation Z, is following millennials and born somewhere in the late 1990s as I know.
Generation Z is financially focused. Unlike their Millennial counterparts who often need to
love what they do, Gen Z understands that work is performed for financial reasons. They’ll
readily accept employment that provides a steady income even if it isn’t their dream job.

Generation Z is all about technology. From the time of their birth, the internet and cell
phones (for the most part) were commonplace. Gen Z wants instant gratification and they
know if that if they need information, it’s easily accessible. It’s not uncommon for members
of Gen Z to have friends all over the world. For many, communicating with someone
halfway around the world may be easier than communicating with older relatives at the
dinner table during a holiday meal.

Change is welcomed by Generation Z. With limitless information at their fingertips, Gen Z

has a lot of knowledge and exposure to many different topics. With this breadth of
knowledge, they constantly seek new ideas and experiences. They will change direction on
a time without a second thought, leaving some of the older generations shaking their heads
trying to keep up.

Neither race, sexual orientation nor religion are the identifying characteristics that they
may have been for previous generations. People are just people to Gen Z.
Generation Z prefers independence. A key differentiator between Gen Z and their Millennial
counterparts is Gen Z’s preference to work independently. Millennials are all about
collaboration, but the competitive nature of Gen Z contributes to them wanting to control
their own destiny and not rely on others for their own success.
Generation Z wants to be heard Having access to so much information, Gen Z has strong
opinions and wants them to be heard.
4. Employment trends

What tends to happen now is that more and more corporations around the world recognize
that, in order to gain a competitive advantage, they also need to make sure their people
know how to handle themselves at work and how to relate with their customers and peers.

Most compliments that you receive deal more with the use of soft skills than with actual
knowledge about a particular situation. Most customers appreciate a "willingness to help"
and the fact that "she listened to my complaint." The use of these skills is what elevates the
organization above the competition

Unfortunately, most graduate schools don't teach us how to cultivate our soft skills. While
courses such as Business Writing and Public Speaking are offered, I have never seen a
course entitled, "The Effective Art of Listening to Your Customer." We live in a society that
measures intelligence through quantifiable(квонтафай бл) metrics. A professor will give
you good grades once you know XYZ, but he or she will not increase your grade for being
able to deal with a difficult situation, showing compassion, or solving an unexpected
problem.

Сompanies don't compete only with products anymore, rather with how well they use their
people. New philosophy says, that we can't focus on what employers need to "know" when
evaluating and hiring them instead of "who they really are."

Finally, and perhaps more importantly, soft skills are the underlying principles that
trademark a company for professionalism and excellent customer service. They provide
differentiation between all the cookie-cutter look-alikes and play a vital role in customer
loyalty. In today's working environment, where customers and employees are demanding
more, instilling the use of soft skills is something that not only company, and the society
simply can't survive without.
5. My personality type

An Executive is someone with the Extraverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging

personality traits. They possess great fortitude, emphatically following their own sensible
judgment.

Executives are representatives of tradition and order, utilizing their understanding of what
is right, wrong and socially acceptable to bring families and communities together.
Embracing the values of honesty, dedication and dignity, people with the Executive
personality type are valued for their clear advice and guidance, and they happily lead the
way on difficult paths.

Demand for such leadership is high in democratic societies, and forming no less than 11%
of the population, it’s no wonder that many of America’s presidents have been Executives.
Strong believers in the rule of law and authority that must be earned, Executive
personalities lead by example, demonstrating dedication, and an utter rejection of laziness
and cheating, especially in work. If anyone declares hard, manual work to be an excellent
way to build character, it is Executives.

Executives are aware of their surroundings and live in a world of clear, verifiable facts.
Their opinions aren’t just empty talk either, as Executives are more than willing to dive into
the most challenging projects, improving action plans and sorting details along the way,
making even the most complicated tasks seem easy and approachable.

However, Executives don’t work alone, and they expect their reliability and work ethic to
be reciprocated – people with this personality type meet their promises, and if partners or
subordinates jeopardize them through incompetence or laziness, or worse still, dishonesty,
they do not hesitate to show their wrath. This can earn them a reputation for inflexibility, a
trait shared by all Sentinel personalities, but it’s not because Executives are arbitrarily
stubborn, but because they truly believe that these values are what make society work.

The main challenge for Executives is to recognize that not everyone follows the same path
or contributes in the same way.
6. Ways to improve your English

Good English skills are vital to succeeding in life, in terms of education, career, and
personal relationships. This means that many people want to improve their English, but it
can be hard to know how to go about it.
Getting the pronunciation right is something that many international students worry about,
but that people born in English-speaking countries often forget about, but it is equally
important for all.

After all, pronouncing the words you use correctly makes you look far more intelligent. The
first step to improving pronunciation is often to slow down your speech a little and think a
bit more carefully. Pay attention to consonants, particularly at the end of words. A good
way to improve pronunciation is often to watch English movies in which people are
speaking properly.
The second way to improve your English is to widen your vocabulary. One good way to do
this is to learn a new word (or a few) every day, and make an effort to use them. Reading is
also a good way to increase vocabularies and learn how to avoid making grammar errors.

If we read magazines written in English, regular reading will make it easier for us to
remember the many new words we come across. Making sure that you fully understand the
meaning is really important, though, because it is no good using new words if you don’t use
them in the correct place.

Because of this, just knowing a dictionary definition may not be enough; you will need to
know in what contexts the new word can be used or you could say something that makes
no sense.

Understanding the register is very important too, as you don’t want to use slang in a formal
context, or alienate people in social situations with overly complex words that only serve to
make you look arrogant.

Βesides learning to read English, we must learn to understand spoken English, and practice
speaking. we should try to talk with Americans, find native English- speaking people who
will give you conversation practice. Don't be afraid to speak. There is no reason to be
ashamed of speaking poor English. If we can learn from our mistakes, failure can become
part of our success. In fact, the secret of success may come from failure.

In conclusion, There is no short cut to learning English. Persistence is the major secrets of
success.
7. 50 things to do before you die

90% of people living on our planet spend their days doing current affairs that endlessly
rain down upon each of us. And sometimes we get the feeling that our days are completely
useless: we live either by work or household chores and wake up every day, so that this
daily whirlwind (вьорлинд) whirls us again.
The to-do list reminds us of what really matters.
The following questions will help in making the list:
What would you do today if you found out that tomorrow you will pass away?
What would you do if you had an unlimited amount of time, money and other resources?
What have you always wanted to do but haven't done yet?
What places (countries, cities, etc.) would you like to visit?
What are your main goals and cherished dreams?
What kind of person do you want to become?
What kind of experience do you dream of getting?
What do you want to remember in old age?
What skills do you want to acquire?
What would you like to do together with loved ones?
Do you have any idols with whom you dream to meet in person?
What do you want to achieve in all areas of life?
What do you lack in order to make your life meaningful?
This list shouldn’t include doubts and thoughts about possible failures. It must include
everything that you dream of, what you want to achieve, everything that you want to see
and feel.
Now I would like to share some of the items from my list:
Firstly, I would like to visit many different countries. Traveling helps us to get new
experiences, to broaden our horizons, to step out of our comfort zone and to meet new
people.
Also, I would like to try different activities, such as scuba diving to see the underwater
world and all its inhabitants firsthand! Also skiing, roller coasters, and horse riding.
Apart from these, I would like to master some kind of martial art. This is not only
interesting, but also useful. Martial art is a great way to defend ourselves. In addition, by
exercising, we learn self-discipline and perseverance (пьорсовиранс).
Also someday I would like to see the northern lights and a starfall to make a wish that will
definitely comes true. I think this is the favorite dream of all romantics.
I would also like to overcome my fear. We all have fears and even phobias. Someone is
afraid of heights, someone of spiders, someone is terrified by the sight of blood, has fear of
failure, of being rejected, of the stage. I'm afraid of dogs. I hope someday I overcome this
fear and even buy a pet.
8. 30 days to a new life

It's a simple idea: Choose something we've never done before, and spend the next 30 days
doing it. It can be something ordinary like walking more, or changing our diet - or
something that really takes us outside our comfort zone, such as mountain climbing,
writing a story or getting up before sunrise every day. It's all about changing old habits into
new ones, overcoming our fears and moving our life in a healthier and more interesting
direction.
We all know that starting something new is the hardest part at the very beginning. After
overcoming this period, it becomes much easier.
However, before we start something, we often want the changes to be permanent. It seems
too difficult to think about big changes to remain in our lives when we are still doing the
opposite. The more we think of change as permanent, the more we stay in place.
But what if we think that the change is only temporary –for 30 days - then we are free to go
back to our old habits. It doesn't seem difficult. For example, keeping our desk in order,
reading an hour a day for 30 days, and so on.
It still takes a little discipline , but not as much as making constant change, so we can
handle this. This is just one month of our life.
So, if we are actually determined to use the 30-day program, then what will happen?
1. we will acquire a new habit
2. we will get rid of addiction to our old habit during this time.
3. we will have 30 days of success in our life, which will give us more self-confidence so we
can continue.
4. we will receive 30 days of sustainable results that give us a practical understanding of
what we can expect if we continue.
But even if we are not ready to make a habit permanent, we can extend the program to 60
or 90 days. The longer we go with the program, the easier it will be to fix the new habit in
our life.
Another benefit of this approach is that we can use the program to test new habits when
we are not really sure if we need it or not. Maybe we would like to try a new diet, but we
are not sure how much it will limit us.
In this case, we can use the 30-day self-help program. We won't be ashamed of stopping if
we know the new habit is not something we really need. It's like using a trial version of a
computer program and if it doesn't work for us, we uninstall it.
9. A quiet revolution
From ancient times it was believed that the man is the breadwinner of the family and his
responsibility is to provide his family with everything they need. The woman' s
responsibilities included raising children, cooking, cleaning and other household chores.
After many years the world has changed. The breadwinners are now not only men, but also
women, because they work on an equal basis with men. Women can develop in any area.
They build their careers, go towards their goals. They are no longer dependent on men as
they used to be.
Traditionally it has always been women who do part-time jobs when a family needs one
parent at home, while the man's career has always come first. But more recently it's men,
not women, who are scaling down their work time.
For this, every man has different reasons, some want to spend more time with their family,
others want to engage in self-development. In many countries, men take maternity leave
along with women and this is not considered something shameful. Fathers now spend
more time with their children. Gender roles have changed not only in this aspect.
Recently it was woman who did most of the housework. And a man was usually free,
because it was not so often that something needed to be fixed or repaired, and at the same
time cooking, cleaning, washing the dishes should be done every day. But now a woman
works no less than a man. Therefore, spouses usually share household responsibilities. On
the positive side the division of labor reduces the levels of depression and emotional stress
caused by being overwhelmed by household chores. Also it is a good example for children
who, by the example of their parents, will learn to help others and appreciate the work of
others.
In conclusion, I would like to say that all stereotypes, including gender ones, have such
characteristics as stability, rootedness in consciousness, the ability to be passed on from
generation to generation, and the difficulty in changing them. And yet, since they are
formed by society, it means that they can be changed by changing public consciousness.
10. My favourite film scene

The Graveyard scene(Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire)

After Harry Potter, Victor Krum, Cedric Digory and Fleur Delacour tackled the maze in the
final stage of the TriWizard Tournament, only Cedric and Harry remain. They decide they
want to win together, as they are upset by the way wizards will turn on one another. In the
scene, they are both transported to a graveyard via port key. Voldemort ordered Pettigrew
to "kill the spare," and Cedric was struck with the Killing Curse. Harry was then trapped so
that Pettigrew could take some of his blood, to use in a Dark potion to restore Voldemort.
Pettigrew also took a bone from the grave of Tom Riddle and his own hand, as part of the
potion. Voldemort was reborn and constructed a silver hand to replace the one Pettigrew
lost. He then pressed a long bony finger on his Dark Mark, calling his Death Eaters to him.
Harry and Voldemort duel and then harry transports himself and Cedrics body back to
Hogwarts, on instructions from Cedrics spirit for his body to be returned to his father.

This is my favourite scene from a film because it was a really significant scene in the Harry
Potter franchise. Up until then there had been no physical person acting as Voldemort.
There had just been his voice. Now Voldemort is reborn and back to cause even more
trouble for Harry. Also, I love this scene because it was, scary, and had a brand new
character introduced (Cedric). The characters in the scene, the effects, the lighting, the
sounds, all add to it being a really visually dynamic viewing experience.
