Definitions:
1. Student age:
a. Conceptual Definition: We want to differentiate between students and their age.
Depending on their age this will determine what they maybe more interested in
b. Operational Definition: The school age of the student
2. Food insecurity:
a. Conceptual Definition: When an individual is unable to have enough food
throughout the week. The amount of food that they have each week is
inconsistent.
b. Operational Definition: Lack of consistent access to enough food for an active
healthy life. There is not enough resources in the house to provide for everyone.
3. Prediabetes:
a. Conceptual Definition: When an individual has health conditions that can develop
into diabetes.
b. Operational Definition: Blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high
enough yet to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes.

Step 6: Consider Your Scoring
1. Student age: I will just compare the age groups and percentages, maybe using a pie chart.
2. Prediabetes vs food insecurity:
a. Add all the values of the diabetes and pre-diabetes questions
b. All of the interested will be combined either too interested in food insecurity or
prediabetes. The not interested will also be split the same as the interested. The
final question (Would you prefer to take a class on pre-diabetes or food
insecurity?) will be recorded in its own data set, the two options will be
compared.
