Week 7 - Assignment Worksheet

(Digital Deepak Internship Program)

1. B2B Lead Generation:

Generate at least 10 B2B Leads from the tools and methods mentioned in the Week 7
Video. You can list out all the leads here. (Your lead data will not be shared & will
not be used).

If you are a student - generate leads of companies where you can potentially become
an employee. Generate leads of VPs, Managers, Founders and CEOs.

If you do not have a B2B business, try to generate leads to promote an affiliate
product or just reach out to people to strike a conversation with them and expand
your network.

At least 50% of the emails should be official email IDs with @custom domain name.

2. Email Sending:

Send out emails to at least 10 leads and get at least one reply. Getting a reply is
important. If you cannot get a reply in 10 emails, send 20 or 30 emails. Send 2-3
follow up emails to get a reply. (These replies need not always be a positive one. If
you are requesting for a meeting and if someone replies rejecting it - it is fine. I just
want you to see the power of cold outreach and witness if people actually reply to
you. It is an open exercise, use your creativity.)

- If you are a student / working professional - try to get a job interview. Even if
they reject you it is fine, get a reply.
- If you are a freelancer - try to get a reply for a consultation call or a meeting.
- If you are a business - try to get a reply from a vendor / partner / potential
client
- Idea: If none of the above things work for you - just send out an email
mentioning that you are part of DDIP and you wanted to do this exercise. And
ask them if they have heard about DDIP and maybe you can recommend them
to join.
- Idea: Refer 3rd point in this sheet. You can reach out to any website owner to
give free advice on their website.

Include a screenshot of the reply from at least one lead. This will be private and not
shared anywhere.
3. Get on a 121 call with at least one B2B Lead:

If you are a freelancer / professional: Pitch your services as a freelancer and explain
to them how you can help them. You can position it as a free consultation call. This
will get you out of your comfort zone and make sure that you are ready for sales in
the future weeks.

You can also give a free DM consultation to any website owner based on what you
have learned in the Internship program. (You can talk about Content Strategy, Lead
Generation, Tribe Building).

It can also be a request for a job interview. The call can be in any medium (phone,
zoom, skype etc.) This is an open exercise. If you are in a business vertical which is
not related to what I’ve mentioned above, any call with any lead is fine.

(I do not recommend recording the call due to privacy reasons).

Write about the call in at least 50 words:

B2C Lead Generation:

4. Landing Pages:

Create a landing page with a lead magnet. You can use the content you have created
previously as a lead magnet.

Use any of the tools mentioned in the video. Or any tool that you discover. The tool
doesn’t matter. You can also make it on your WordPress website.

(MailChimp has a free landing page builder). If you do not have a lead magnet, then
promote your upcoming webinar as a lead magnet. Or you can promote the Digital
Deepak Internship Program.

Important: The landing page should be complete and presentable. Do not leave any
default text from the template. It can be on your domain name or outside as well.

[Note: These are B2C Leads. Cannot be combined with 1st section of this assignment].

Give the link of the landing page here:

5. Generate B2C Leads:

Generate at least 5 B2C leads by driving traffic to the landing page with the lead
magnet. You can share it on social media and spread the links around. (Important: DO
not share the landing page within the internship group - it will create a mess).

Once you have set this up, you will be able to scale lead generation using ads and SEO
which you will learn in the future lessons.

Note: Email IDs need not be custom domain email IDs.

Post the screenshot of the leads you have generated inside your email marketing tool.
You can use MailChimp or ConvertKit free plan.
6. Email Sending:

Send at least one email to your B2C Leads via your email marketing service provider.
The email could be anything. Add deepak@pixeltrack.in as one of your leads in your
email marketing service provider (MailChimp, ConvertKit or anything else) so that I
also get an email from you.

(Your assignment will be verified based on the email I get from you. I will check my
spam folder as well!).

Include a screenshot of the mail as well (Just in case if the email doesn’t land).

7. Drip Marketing Sequence Design:

Create a 5-part follow up sequence for nurturing the leads. Write just the subject
lines. Use your creativity. There are no hard and fast rules. You can start with a
welcome email, follow up with an introduction to yourself and then talk about your
products and services (or affiliate products).
