QUESTION

ANSWER
COVER MEMBERS INTERVIEWEES Q AND A CONCLUSION DOCUMENTATION

1. How do individuals in your country view the

self/one's identity as compared to other countries?

I'm Filipino but I live in Japan for quite some time now,
learned a lot about Japanese people and they identify
themselves as unique and a lot different from other countries
such as they only depend on their country and only it. They
are more focused on being independent.

Well as an American, I think the only unique and characteristic

we have different from other country is as a country we are
more open to certain rules of living, we approve abortion, we
approve the LGBTQ community, etc. We are not as
conservative as other countries regarding marriage, religion.

3. How does that influence their way of living?

It makes the world more peaceful and makes them

understand each other more because they can argue
about one thing with respect and not even make a big
deal about it.

Well the influence and the impact in my life is that every

morning I woke up and I appreciate our constitution of
having liberty and freedom of speech.

Mahatma Gandhi once said that “A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in
the soul of its people”. Which proves that in every nation there is a culture. A
Culture that will influence their way of living. Also, it will remain and reside in
their hearts and soul. In conclusion, we learned that in every different country
there are cultures and beliefs we must accept and respect. Respect is very
important in every situation in our lives. We must respect each other even if we
do not like them, or whatever their status in lives, they should be respected and
accepted. In addition, there are three important things we must remember; love,
acceptance, and respect. If we all practice these three values, our world can be
peaceful that everyone can live in.
Moreover, the activity also made me realize that the statement "respect is
earned, not given" sits with me wrongly. We are on the point of view that respect
is given until it is no longer deserved. If you want to be treated with respect, then
you must give respect. Any kindness you send out to the world will make its way
back to you.
