40,000 protesters were there
including women farmers and
children. Protesters aged from
13 - 85 year old.
December 3rd, 2020, the
first round of talks were held
between the farmers union and
the government regarding the
farmers’ demands. After a series
of failed talks, ‘Bharat Bandh’
was announced to pressurise the
government into meeting their
demands. Farmers even moved
to the Supreme Court demanding
a stay and reconsideration in the
’farm laws’. The Supreme court
stayed the implementation of the
laws, and wanted the situation
to be settled with deliberations.
26 January 2021 changed the
whole peaceful protest. A clash
between the Delhi police and
the farmers happened during
the tractor parade. This incident
resulted in injuring many police
officers and farmers. Since then,
many thought that farmers’
protests would soon dilute
over the days, but they came
out even more potent; nearly
50,000 farmers gathered on the
outskirts of Delhi against the
government’s three bills.
Farmers have continued
their long struggle against the
bills, even women have also
joined them in Jantar Mantar
(where the farmer unions are
present and deliberating ), the
protest is still ongoing without
an agreement or a conlusion
between the farmers and
government.

focused on in the session; how
to crack interviews of big Media

become ready for future tasks
as a journalist. “It is a big ocean,
and to get ready to swim in this,
students should study hard at
least to get a degree,” said Mr.
Sayeed Ansari. No company
these days entertains anyone
without a degree, especially in
this post covid period. Students
can have talents and skills, but
they should still have a degree.
A Journalism student must have
more practical knowledge as
the field requires for qualifying
as a journalist. Scoring good
marks isn’t essential; students
need to have enough percentage
to get a call for an interview.
Aspiring Journalists and anchors
should read many newspapers,
magazines, science books,
politics, history books, and what
is being taught in colleges and
institutions. These things would
help a lot in cracking interviews.

everything and work hard on

students, they have to gain major
knowledge by themselves.”
Language is essential in
journalism; one should be
precise with terms and know the
meaning of the words they might
use while talking or writing. Not
only should a journalist avoid
grammatical errors, but should
also have good pronunciation
while speaking and avoid fancy
terms. A minimum of knowing
two languages is a must; one is
English, a universal language,
and the second is knowing your
regional language. If a student
pursuing journalism doesn’t
know two or more languages,
he must learn at least one new
language to progress in the
particular field.
For budding journalists,
their targets should be that they
outshine and prove themselves
with the skills and talent
required for the field, prove that
they are deserving, and take over
the journalists and anchors that
alread exist.

covid-19 pandemic, there was a
lot of misinformation for curing
the virus and how this virus
spreads, and lastly, regarding the
COVAXIN. To counter these fake
news we should take prebunking,
that is basically inoculating
people against fake news.
Creating awareness as to what is
fake information, what a source
might lie. It is durable to always
check any information you come
across a source of information.
If anyone recognises a piece of
fake information, the person
should spread the word about
that and educate people as much
