Advances in electronic technology make drones smaller, and therefore safer, more
accessible, quieter, and lessens their environmental impact.

III. Introduction
1. What is your Attention Step?
Drones are everywhere and are getting more and more popular.

2. Justification – Why should the audience listen / how does the topic relate to them?
Since drones operate in public areas, they must be not pose a safety threat to people
and property. In addition, some who want to start flying them don’t have the money
or space for a larger machine. In the past, it was not possible to have a high-
performance drone that weighed less than about 400 grams, due to the physical
properties of components used. Now, new AIO (all-in-one) boards allow for
integration of components into a single, lighter unit, which in turn lets us build drones
that weigh as little as 40 grams (which means safer and quieter) and that are a
fraction of the cost.

3. Credibility – What makes you an expert on this topic?

I have been researching and designing small drones for the last three years.

4. Purpose Statement – After listening to my speech, my audience will know/understand

How this new technology can change public perception of drones, in both the aspects
of safety and affordability.

AIO boards makes high-performance drones smaller and more suitable for public
places.

property damage in a crash.

1. Summary
The introduction of AIO boards has made it possible to make drones that perform
identical to their larger counterparts yet are a fraction of the size and cost. Therefore,
they are safer, easier to obtain, and help protect the environment.

but were discouraged by the cost? Not to worry! It is now possible to create cheap
and safe drones that give you the same flight experience as larger, more expensive
units.
