Hy Brasil has a bicameral parliament. The parliament is divided into upper and lower
chambers and is based at Parliament House at the edge of the Winter Fields in Sao Paol.
The building is 'a splendid structure built from filaments of silvered steel and pylons of a
pale stone'. However at the onset of the Unification Wars Krylar Kyn assumed total control
over the government.

Hy Brasil has very varied geography. Most of the southern half of the Empire is a barren
radioactive desert. Only the hive cities and fortified towns are considered safe. The radiation
inside the empire isn’t very dangerous. The lands south of the Empire are another story.
The wastelands south of Hy Brasil are highly radioactive due to the massive atomic wars
that were fought there. The area which once was the Amazon Rainforest is now a blasted
wasteland and partial desert. After the Amazon River boiled away a thousand years before
the forests died and the area became one of the driest places on Terra. The Eastern flats
are a very prosperous region. Once submerged by the Atlantic Ocean, these flats now
harbour an entirely new rainforest called the Draconian Rainforest. This area is however
highly militarised because of marauding barbarian tribes coming from the desolate Afrikan
Wastes. The Western regions of Hy Brasil are very different from the rest of the Empire.
Rapid glaciation has caused great valleys and new rivers to be formed and as such the area
is the center for farming and food production for the entire Empire. The Northern regions
have remained unchanged for many millennia. Hy Brasil’s many wars with Merica were
fought much further north than its current borders and as such the areas looks much like it
did many thousands of years previous. The only difference is that the fabled ‘Gulf of Mexios’
had long dried up, revealing fertile flatlands that have been the cause of many conflicts.

This is where the government of Hy Brasil is located. It is a virtual paradise compared with
most of Terra. The region is split in two by the winter fields to the west and a grassy plain
to the east. The city of Sao Paol is located at the western edge of the region within the
winter fields. Beneth the city lies the great reactors which power much of central Brasil.
During the final battles against Unity Dalmoth tried to overload the reactors but was
stopped by the Dusk Raider regiment of Thunder Warriors.
Nicar:

The northern region of Nicar is a highly militarised zone, with an army a billion strong
standing guard along its borders. A string of fortresses is located along the so called
Panama Heights. Each fortress is a relic of the Dark Age of Technology, with near
impregnable defences. However much of the technology that powered these fortresses have
been plundered by Mechanicum Raiders.
Galapogos:

The region of Galapogos is home to a strange collection of wildlife, many of which were
known to the peoples of Ancient Earth. Genetic modification before the Age of Strife created
a breed of Giant Tortoise which are said to have been made a hundred times larger. These
beasts are harnessed by the armies of Hy Brasil due to their ferocity. The region is also the
most volcanically active region of the Empire. With seven active volcanoes the people of this
region are hardy and resilient and so make perfect recruits for the military. The warriors of
Galapogos are said to fearless and highly skilled.
Amazonia:

The former site of the Amazon Jungle, this region is now a blasted desert with a few
scattered cities and only one major Hive; Manaus. The people of this region are expert
raiders and can survive without supplies for great lengths of time. A great battle was fought
here during the Unification Wars, and such was the destruction wrought that it is said the
desert became glass.
Para:

As with the border regions south of it Para is highly militarised and keep constant vigil again
the mutant hordes to te east. It is however an important sea-faring region. The port of Nord
Sarar is one of the largest in the southern hemisphere and is the only link between Hy Brasil
and Sud Atlantia.
Sud Atlantia:

The region of Sud Atlantia is an area hard won by Hy Brasil. After the fall of the Nordifric
Conclaves the island was quickly attacked by Hy Brasil and Merica, who were able to gain
portions of the Island for themselves. Somehow the Nordifrik Conclaves were able to hold
on to the east of the island despite their Empire crumbling around them. It remains the only
area of their Empire which their control is total. Minor wars are regularly fought over the
island, and the city of Azaes has been sacked no less than eight times.
Ouranti:

The region of Ouranti is the location for the Draconian Rainforest. This is a dangerous place
as a race of lizard mutants inhabit the region and the soldiers of the region regularly scour
the forests for any sign of them. The capital Dracosa is ruled by a family of militaristic
nobles who maintain a very modern fighting force. The Dracos wear lizard skins over their
powered armour and are armed primarily with firearms and incendiary cannons. These men
form the elite of Hy Brasils military and are the guardians of the Brasilian government.

Despite their massive resources the secrets to forging powered armour is limited in Hy
Brasil. Only the regions of Brasil, Paoloa, Ourantii, Amazonia and Para have the means to
create this technology, and so only one in ten regiments are equipped with these suits.
Often it is the soldiers that have this armour that are assigned to the borders of the realm.
Most of the armies of Hy Brasil make use of a heavy armaplas armour, which is mostly
enough.
The majority of Hy Brasils armies do not make use of firearms, and instead fight with heavy
electrified swords and maces which are highly effective. Some elite regiments use firearms,
but this is a rarity. Hy Brasil does however have extensive artillery. It has many varied
artillery pieces ranging from tank sized guns, to the city destroying atomic cannons. Often
an intense artillery barrage precedes an attack by the Hy Brasilian army.
Armoured vehicles are also a rarity, with only one regiment having access to a number of
ancient fighting vehicles known only as the “RH1 N0”.

Hy Brasil maintains a few hundred massive tanker warships which it uses to supply Sud
Atlantis. Naval Warfare is a rarity in the world at the time so these ships are rarely used in
offensive actions.
Air force:

The regiment known as the Dragonflies are the only formation that uses aircraft in the
entirety of Hy Brasil. However their combat effectiveness is little to none due to the means
and knowledge to operate these ancient machines is fading, and as such they are now only
employed in suicide missions, often as a way of delivering an atomic device deep into
enemy territory.
