Diphthong “OU” Phonics Reader!
“Hey Teachers! This is a huge product to give away, but I
really wanted to get it out to teachers/homeschoolers
so they could see how fun and effective these
Phonics Readers really are!”
I created this product for my beginning and struggling readers. I
wanted them to practice the diphthong sounds after I introduce
them. I also wanted these emergent readers to be somewhat
interactive. That’s why I’ve included a question about the pictures
on every page. The pictures are arranged in a silly way and the
questions don’t always have an easy answer. The questions will
spark conversations between teacher and student or between
students partnering together which develops comprehension
skills. I’ve also included an activity page at the end of every book
that requires students to go back into the book to spell the
words that they’ve been reading.
I hope your students enjoy this fun interactive reader!

Here is what’s included:

1 - “OU” Pre-Test (Student and Teacher Pages)

1 - “OU” Post-Test (Student and Teacher Pages)
8 – Page Colored Emergent Reader with Activity Pages
8 – Page B/W Emergent Reader with Activity Pages

Step 3: Pull your strategy group and

listen as students read the Emergent
Reader. Students enjoy answering the
questions on every page. Allow them to
write on the page if possible.
Have them read it several times. You
can do this by having them read to you,
a buddy and by sending it home to be
read to parents.
