Jose Rizal Shrine is a famous landmark and tourist attraction in the province of Nueva

Vizcaya even though it had just been recently constructed and that some parts of it are
still in development.  It is located in the town of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The shrine serves as a tribute to brave Filipino heroes, and the statues of these 16 patriots
can be found througout the park, the most prominent of which is the second largest statue
of the Philippines' national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. The large statue gleams in bronze though
most of the structure is made out of fiberglass composite.

The shrine is truly a sight to behold, rivalling even historically-themed parks or structures
anywhere in the Philippines.  It boasts of modern architectural designs and layouts, lush
gardens, fountains and finely crafted statues.  It definitely gives proper homage to the
heroes who have been the cornerstones of Philippine identity and independence.

The Saint Dominic Cathedral, commonly referred to as the Bayombong Cathedral, is


an 18th-century, Baroque church located at Brgy. Salvacion, Bayombong, Nueva
Vizcaya, Philippines. The cathedral, which is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Bayombong, is under the patronage of Saint Dominic.
Saint Dominic Cathedral of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines was founded in 1739
by the Augustinian Friars of Spain.

People’s Museum and Library

Considered as one of the cultural tourist spots in Nueva Vizcaya, the People’s Museum
and Library showcase the rich history and heritage of the locals. It exhibits different
indigenous materials such as hand-woven textiles, antique jars, and many other artifacts.
Surely, you’ll walk through and have a visual experience of the rich culture of the people
of Nueva Vizcaya when you visit here. The site where the museum now stands used to
house the Provincial Government.

 Lower Magat Eco-tourism Park

Lying on the lower part of the scenic Magat River, this ecotourism park covers more than
1,120 hectares. It features various landscapes, plants, and different types of colorful
flowers.
Here, you can experience different activities such as swimming on a huge pool, boating in
a small lake, and fishing on a pond including a wildlife sanctuary.
If you’re after adventure, there are hiking trails that will take you to the forests which host
birds and other species.
There is also a vast camping ground, offering various accommodations if you plan to stay
overnight.

 Balete Pass National Shrine

Balete Pass National Shrine is also one of the recognized historical tourist spots in Nueva
Vizcaya. It is a mountain pass connecting Nueva Vizcaya and Nueva Ecija. It was the site
of a fierce battle between the combined Filipino and American forces against the Japanese
imperial army.

At the peak of the mountain pass is the Balete Pass Tourism Complex where you can find
the Balete Pass National Shrine. There is also a view deck that offers a panoramic view of
the surrounding mountain ranges and forests.
