Municipality of Pateros

⁃ The Municipality of Pateros is famous duck-raising industry, and
specially for producing a Filipino delicacy which is a boiled and fertilized egg,
balut.
⁃ This is the smallest municipality in terms of population and in land
area in Metro Manila.
⁃ It is the second most densely populated at around 37,000 inhabitants
per square kilometer or 96,000 inhabitants per square mile after the capital city
of Manila.

Destinations
⁃ Manila American Cemetery and Memorial—Tranquil, 152-acre cemetery with
17,206 graves, the majority for U.S. soldiers killed during WWII. People can visit
and pay their respects to our soldiers who fought bravely.
⁃ Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Pasig— It is the mother church, the
episcopal seat of the Diocese of Pasig, and one of the oldest structures in the
city. The Augustinian missionaries established it as a parish on July 2, 1573, the
same day the town of Pasig was established.
⁃ Pasig City Museum— Historic home and museum detailing the history and
development of the city, as well as art, music, and literary events.

Caloocan City

it has a population of 1,661,584 residents.
⁃ Caloocan became a municipality when it was separated from Tondo in
1815.

⁃ University of Santo Tomas Museum— The University of Santo Tomas Museum
is a site that celebrates Filipino culture and tradition. The major display here is
a Gabinete De Fisica collection.
⁃ Bonifacio Circle Monumento— This is a historic location. This is the
actual location where the well-known Philippines Revolution began. Guillermo,
Tolentino created stunning sculptures at this location.
⁃ Taoist Temple— This temple is over a century old. This exquisite temple
serves as a place of worship for Chinese and Chinese Filipino residents.

Marikina City
Capital: Marikina

⁃ Marikina is the shoe capital of the Philippines, they are the biggest
shoe manufacturer in the Philippines and they produce 70% of the shoes made in the
country.
⁃ Is it the known cleanest city, not only in Metro Manila, but also in
the Philippines.

Destinations
⁃ Marikina River Park— A sprawling entertainment center along the river,
complete with a roller skating rink, ball fields, and camping places.
⁃ Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned—Marikina's Our
Lady of the Abandoned Parish Church is a Roman Catholic church. The church has one
of several miraculous pictures of the Madonna and Child that have obtained a
Pontifical decree of coronation.
⁃ Marikina Shoe Museum— The museum features the shoe collection of Imelda
Marcos herself and other shoes that are extraordinary.

Makati City
Capital: Makati

⁃ The city is recognized for its upmarket shopping malls with high
fashion labels, restaurants, and hotels, as well as the presence of many wealthy
Filipinos.
⁃ Marikina city is the Business capital of the Philippines with more than
80,000 business establishments.

Destinations:
⁃ Yuchengco Museum— Contemporary and ancient fine art is displayed in a
posh venue with a book and gift shop.
⁃ Ayala Triangle Gardens— Ayala Triangle Gardens is a beloved go-to park
for early risers, similar to how Central Park in New York provides city residents
as well as visitors with an open, green environment to work out and enjoy nature.
⁃ Santuario De San Antonio Parish— Forbes Park's Sanctuario de San
Antonio Parish is known for its Baroque architecture. Numerous individuals are

Mandaluyong City
Capital: Mandaluyong

⁃ Mandaluyong was formerly a neighborhood of Santa Ana de Sapa and is now
part of the San Felipe Neri district of Manila. Mandaluyong broke away and
established its independent town in 1841, and was given the name Mandaluyong under
the American occupation in 1931.
⁃ It was the first municipality in Metro Manila to be elevated to the
status of city in 1994.

Destinations:
⁃ Armed Forces of the Philippines Museum— This museum depicts the history
of the military forces of the Philippines. Infantry guns, rifles, mortars, and
other military weapons are among the items in its collection.
⁃ EDSA People Power Monument— A massive monument commemorating the events
of the 1986 People Power Revolution that was created on the intersection of
Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue in Quezon City, Philippines.
⁃ EDSA Shrine— One of the most popular shrines in Metro Manila that acts
as a memorial to the Virgin Mary, the protector of those who took part in the
People Power Revolution of 1986.

Muntinlupa City
Capital: Muntinlupa

⁃ Muntinlupa is nicknamed as the “Emerald City of the Philippines”.
⁃ Muntinlupa City was historically notable for housing the maximum
security National Bilibid Prison, which housed the country's most dangerous
criminals.
Destinations:
⁃ Sunken Garden—It is an open grassy area on the southern shore of
Jamboree Lake in the New Bilibid Prison that is lower than the surrounding terrain.
⁃ Jamboree Lake— Jamboree Lake is a small recreational lake in
Muntinlupa. At 1.5 hectares, it is the country's smallest natural lake, located
inside a 587-hectare area.
⁃ Enchanted Kingdom— Enchanted Kingdom, or EK for short, is a theme park
in the Philippines. It can be found at Santa Rosa, Laguna. It covers an area of 25
hectares. Enchanted Kingdom Inc. manages and operates the park.

City of Manila
Capital: Manila

⁃ The City of Manila is known as “The Pearl of the Orient.”
⁃ The province includes the walled city of Manila and 23 smaller towns
during the First Philippine Republic. Mariquina was also the provincial capital
between 1898 and 1899. Despite the fact that Philippine forces seized practically
the entire region, the walled city of Manila was occupied by Spanish forces.

Destinations:
⁃ Rizal Park— Rizal Park is the city's largest public park and holds
special meaning for Filipinos due to its historical significance. It is one of the
top attractions in Manila, Philippines.
⁃ Manila Cathedral— For almost 400 years, the Manila Cathedral has
withstood earthquakes and conquests! The Basilica was established in 1571, although
it has since evolved, and the current structure is the size of a building. The
cathedral is a brilliant example of Neo-Romanesque design and is adored by
architecture buffs from all over the world. It is one of the top ten attractions in
Manila.
⁃ Manila Baywalk—Skyscrapers may be found across the street, and the

Navotas City

⁃ The city of Navotas is the Fishing Capital of the Philippines.
⁃ Navotas derives its name from the words "nabotas," which meaning
"nabutas" or "pierced through," and refers to the city's geographical location, as
it was formerly a narrow body of water that punctured the coastline.

Destinations:
⁃ The Navotas Centennial Park in the Philippines is a waterfront park. A
popular spot for running, walking, and skating among the locals. The park is
landscaped with palm trees and lamp posts, and there are a few grandstands along
the recreation center's corridor that faces Manila Bay.
⁃ Fort Santiago— This historic defense fortification houses a museum
dedicated to national hero José Rizal.
⁃ Intramuros— Intramuros is a centuries-old historic neighborhood
completely enclosed by walls that was considered the entire City of Manila during
the Spanish Empire.
