1. Project should be not more than 10 pages.


2. The topic must be divided sub-topic wise and presented.
3. The cover page may be a collage depicting the essence of the topic. The topic must be clearly mentioned
on the top. The format of the cover page is given below:

4. Acknowledgement must be written just after the cover page.


5. The Index must be written after the acknowledgement and must contains all the topics covered with page
numbers. It must follow the format given below--

6. The project must be only hand written and it must be supported with appropriate pictures. All pictures,
charts, maps, must be shown on the left hand blank pages. These pictures must be enclosed in a box with a
title.
7. References at the end must contain:
a) The source of pictures
b) Name of the books referred to and their authors
c) Web-site details
8. All headings and sub headings should be underlined properly. ( sketch pens can be made use of this
purpose)
9. The pages must be numbered properly. Make sure not to number the blank pages on which the pictures are
pasted.
10. Each topic must be written on a new page. Sub- topics need not be on a new page.
11. The project must be of 1500 words.

Chapter 2 -- Types of pollution- air, water (fresh and marine), soil, radiation and noise.
Chapter 3-- Sources:-
 Noise: traffic, factories, construction sites, loud speakers, airports.
 Air: vehicular, industrial, burning of garbage.
 Water: domestic and industrial waste.
 Radiation: X-rays; radioactive fallout from nuclear plants.
 Soil: chemical fertilizers, biomedical waste and pesticides.
Chapter 4-- Effects- on the environment and human health
Chapter 5-- Preventive Measures
Chapter 6- Case Study- Carbon Foot print and its effects on climate change
Chapter -7- My Learning
Chapter -8 -Bibliography or the references.
