Formal email: exchange programme application

Dear College director,

I am writing with reference to the exchange programme and my application for it. My idea is
to go to a college in UK because I want to meet new people and improve my English so I can
get a better level. Also, I am involved with the adolescents who are going to come to my
school, I am going to keep in touch with them and every conflict that they have in my city.

Firstly, I would like to go to a college situated in Cambridge or London, because I like the city,
the culture and the things that I could learn there, such as formal vocabulary, the accent and
the slang. I should also like to point out that I would be benefit from the programme by getting
to know new people and learning about these cities that maybe could be my future home in
some years.

Secondly, I think that I am the best candidate for the exchange programme because I am
open to new experiences and possibilities. Moreover, I like helping people and that is excellent
if you need me to keep in touch with the participant of the exchange that come to our college
because I could help them to feel comfortable here and teach them all they need to know
about the city and the language.
