TYPES OF CROPS TO OBSERVE APPLICATION METHOD
Select only one crop to observe. Select only one application method.
___ Solanaceous (eggplant, peppers, tomatoes) ___ Foliar (applied on the leaves only)
___ Leafy (Pechay, leafy mustard, lettuce) ___ Basal (applied on the base of the plant only)

FPJ SOLUTION

CONTROLLED EXPERIMENT:
Ingredients:
1 kg molasses
3 kg chopped matured kakawati (madre de cacao) leaves

(DO NOT ADD WATER AS IT MAY RUIN OR ALTER YOUR FPJ SOLUTION. THE PLANT JUICES WILL APPEAR
EVENTUALLY ONCE FERMENTED)
For instructions on how to prepare the FPJ please refer to the attached brochure.

EXPERIMENTAL SOLUTION:
1 kg molasses
3 kg chopped of any of the following leaves
 Kangkong
 Ipil-Ipil
 Mani-Mani
 Malungay
 Banana trunk

OBSERVATIONS TO CONDUCT.

PERIODIC OBSERVATIONS
 PLANT HEIGHT (measured from the base of the plant that is located above the soil up to the
apical/terminal bud)
 LEAF AREA (LENGTH of the leaf from the petiole to the leaf tip multiplied by the WIDTH which is
the measure of the leaf leaf blade to leaf blade)

 OBSERVED PEST (identified pests may include sucking or chewing insects)


 NARRATIVE ON OTHER VISUAL OBSERVATIONS (includes daily observations and activity done
thought the duration of the research proper)

TERMINAL OBSERVATIONS
 YIELD IN Kilograms or grams (yield pertains to the consumable or useful by-product of the plant
intended for consumption)
 ROOT MASS (mass of the entire root system without the shoot system. Roots to be weight must
be cleaned, dried and free of dirt)
