ACA Variant

 The A1 segment of right / left anterior cerebral artery is not seen [Even on 3D
TOF source images]; which suggest its absence. The A2 and A3 segments of
right / left anterior cerebral artery are visualised, mostly due to filling from
anterior communicating artery. This suggests Absent A1 segment of right /
left anterior cerebral artery.

 The A1 segment of right / left anterior cerebral artery is smaller in calibre (< 1.5
mm) as compared to contra-lateral side but has smooth wall margins. The A2
and A3 segments of right / left anterior cerebral artery are visualised, mostly
due to filling from anterior communicating artery. This suggests Hypoplastic
A1 segment of right / left anterior cerebral artery.

 A1 segments of right & left anterior cerebral arteries join to form a single trunk
with absence of anterior communicating artery (ACom). This suggests Azygos
anterior cerebral artery.

 There are three A2 segments arising from anterior communicating artery

(ACom). A1 segments of bilateral anterior cerebral arteries & anterior
communicating artery (ACom) appear normal in signals, caliber and wall
margins. This suggests Trifurcation of anterior cerebral artery.

 The A2 segment of right / left anterior cerebral artery is smaller in calibre as

compared to contra-lateral side but has smooth wall margins. Distal bilateral
anterior cerebral artery branches originate from larger segment of left / right
anterior cerebral artery. A1 segments of bilateral anterior cerebral arteries &
anterior communicating artery (ACom) appear normal in signals, caliber and wall
margins. This suggests Bihemispheric anterior cerebral artery with
dominant A2 segment of right / left anterior cerebral artery.

Posterior communicating artery

 The P1 segment of right / left posterior cerebral artery is smaller in calibre as

compared to ipsilateral posterior communicating artery (PCom) but has smooth
wall margins / not seen [Even on 3D TOF source images]. Right / Left posterior
cerebral artery beyond P1 segment is mainly supplied by ipsilateral posterior
communicating artery (PCom) and appears normal in signals, caliber and wall
margins. This suggests Fetal origin of right / left posterior cerebral
artery.

 P1 segments of bilateral posterior cerebral arteries are smaller in calibre as

compared to ipsilateral posterior communicating arteries (PCom) but has smooth
wall margins / not seen [Even on 3D TOF source images]. Bilateral posterior
cerebral arteries beyond P1 segment are mainly supplied by ipsilateral posterior
communicating arteries (PCom) and appears normal in signals, caliber and wall
margins. Basilar artery is smaller in calibre but has smooth wall margins. These
suggest Fetal origin of bilateral posterior cerebral artery.

Vertebral Artery Variant

 Cervical & intracranial segments of right / left vertebral artery appear narrow in
caliber; however shows normal signals and wall margins. This suggests
Hypoplastic right / left vertebral artery.

 Cervical segments of right / left vertebral artery appear narrow in caliber;

however shows normal signals and wall margins. Intracranial segment of right /
left vertebral artery is terminated as posterior inferior cerebellar artery. These
suggests Hypoplastic right / left vertebral artery.
