I am to inform you that, the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Studies in
Siddha Degree courses held on 15.03.2022 was recommended by the Standing Academic
Board, at the 61st meeting held on 21.04.2022. The following recommendations of the
Standing Academic Board was approved by the Governing Council at the 291 st meeting
held on 09.06.2022. The Standing Academic Board has resolved that

RESOLUTION NO : 1
The Standing Academic Board has resolved to approve the uniform examination pattern
for all branches of PG Siddha Degree Courses.

PG EXAMINATIONS (THEORY AND PRACTICALS/CLINICALS)

THEORY WRITTEN - 100 MARKS

THEORY VIVA - 50 MARKS

CLINICAL/PRACTICALS - 100 MARKS

a) LONG CASE/EXPERIMENT - 50 MARKS

b) SHORT CASE/EXPERIMENTS - 30 MARKS

(includes spotters & short experiments related to syllabus )

c) CLINICAL / PRACTICAL VIVA - 20 MARKS

RESOLUTION NO : 2
The Standing Academic Board has resolved to follow the decision made by
National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, New Delhi in the letter dated
01-12-2021 regarding the additional attempt for B.S.M.S Examination due to COVID-19
pandemic.

RESOLUTION NO : 3
The Standing Academic Board has resolved to follow the guidelines of National
Commission for Indian System of Medicine, New Delhi.

RESOLUTION NO: 4

The Standing Academic Board has resolved to follow the Notification No.F.No.18-
12/2021-BUSS(SID_UG_MSE) Dated 9-3-2022 from Under Secretary (I/c), National
Commission for Indian System of Medicine, New Delhi with regard to U.G Regulation for
the B.S.M.S Degree course from the Academic Year 2021-2022 along with the Notification
dated 11-03-2022.

ANY OTHER ITEM:

The Standing Academic Board has resolved that the Examiners may be appointed
from each of the specialties of Siddha Noi Naadal & Radiology to examine the candidates
in Third Year MD Siddha Noi Naadal (Branch V) Paper IV “Recent Advances in Diagnostic
Methods Radiology” - If the Internal Examiner is from Siddha Noi Naadal, the External
Examiner will be from Radiology and vice versa.
