In this lesson, you will create a flat pattern.

 Create a flat pattern.

Step 1: Create a flat pattern

1. Carry on with the file from the previous
example and select Modify > Create Flat
Pattern.

2. Select the top face as the stationary

face and OK.

3. View the flat pattern.

Note: When viewing the flat pattern you are

in the Model Workspace and have access
to modeling tools.

4. Select Exit Flat to return to the

model.

Note: The flat pattern is now in the browser

below the current rule and can be activated
like a component.
